Believe the hype - this is the best Chinese restaurant in Guelph. The wait times for delivery may be long, but believe it or... not, that's a good thing! We ordered takeaway from Wok's Taste in late December 2019. The restaurant was incredibly accommodating of our gluten free and... vegan needs and made ordering super easy. We called in a large order for 8 people (for delivery) and they were able to get itall together in about 40 min - probably more like 35 min. Not only did the restaurant provide suggestions and helpful info whenwe called, they were all too happy to offer to veganize many popular dishes, and we did not have to explain that we needed thedishes to be animal free, oyster sauce free and egg free. The cost was reasonable, and the friend that picked up the food for usexclaimed how clean and pleasant the restaurant was on arrival to pick up the order (which was waiting for pick up, and whichwas still hot, on arrival at our home). (Dinner for 8 was in the $70. range before tax. Yes! Less than $10. per person!) Thepleasant nature of the order taker, the willingness to accommodate our vegan order and the speed with which our order wasassembled guarantees that we'll order from Wok's Taste again, in the near future. Please note, the fortune cookies at Wok'sTaste are not vegan - there are other Chinese food restaurants in Guelph that do offer vegan fortune cookies, but this is of noconsequence as our experience with Wok's Taste has been great. I believe this is one of the best Chinese restaurant in Guelph. Even I live in Waterloo which has lots of Chinese restaurants,... still think this one is really good. I have been there several times since last year and the taste always good. The waitress andchef are very polite. The only thing I dont like maybe the owner open the door a little bit later than it suppose to be. On thegoogle and timetable on front door all says it open on 11am. But yesterday I been there at 11:10, it still not open. I waiteduntil 11:30 then I gotta come in. So maybe next time not go there too early in the morning. Read more
