Favourite burrito place in the city. Little expensive but the toppings are worth it. The corn and cheese are very good.

I want to love this place but I?m often left underwhelmed and upset at how much I?ve spent (and how little I?ve gotten). I?m not... sure why it is more expensive than other local burrito places, since the food is not better. I understand the effects of risinggas prices, and food costs are through the roof, but if the tortilla chips are locally made, as stated, why is one bag $7.00? Ileft with a burrito, side guacamole and a bag of chips and spent $28.00! I didn?t even get a drink. The guacamole is bland andthe roasted jalapeños (as claimed) are not present. The tortilla chips are supposed to be fried upon order (see pic); instead,they?re sitting in a bag under a heat lamp, and dry as a result. I always appreciate a burrito place, but Mucho Burrito (acrossfrom the mall), and Fresh Burrito (Speedvale Ave) are far superior. Read more

Strangely, we had never heard of this restaurant before. We were visiting Royal City Park and picked up dinner from here. ... Ordered the family size Nachos and 2 Chicken Bowls. More than enough food for 6 of us and just the right amount of heat for usall to enjoy! Service was fast too. Will definitely stop by again! Read more

I visited Z-Teca for the first time this evening and had a very disappointing experience. I have heard great things about this... restaurant but unfortunately it did not make a satisfactory first impression. Upon entering the restaurant me and my girlfriendwaited for a little more than 5 minutes before being served as all the employees were working in the back. We ordered a VeggieCrumble burrito and were somehow given a Battered Cod burrito, not even close to what we ordered. I don't understand how thishappened but the staff member was condescending when we politely pointed out the error and waited patiently for her to make thecorrect burrito. "You didn't see her put the fish on?" the employee rudely remarked, referring to the other female that made ourorder incorrectly initially, as if it were our duty as customers to supervise the staff as they perform their work. I don'tusually let an incorrect order ruin my experience at a restaurant, but the fact that the staff were so impolite regarding amistake of their's left a bad taste in my mouth. Read more
