I haven\'t yet eaten their food, since our catering event is happening this weekend, but I am so grateful to the Hot Box for how... helpful they were when I called today about our event. Without giving all the stressful details, the important bit is that theyare working with me at the last minute to accommodate a group of 150. Read great 4.8 reviews of this place and decided to try. I\'d give it 3.2 at best. Ordered ribs - the pork was tasty, nicely... cooked and charred. But he ruins it by dumping a quart of barbecue sauce on top, making them drippy, messy and downed inwetness. Yuk! Ordered coleslaw as my side. What an awful liquid mayo mess! Again, way too much saucy mayo. You almost need aspoon to eat this. Finally, and I know this is a little thing, but his refrigerator isn\'t cooling so my soft drink is hot. Whoenjoys a warm Coke? You work in a tiny trailer every day and you know when your refrigerator is not working. Get a new one orbring some ice, don\'t hand me a warm drink and just say, \"it\'s not very cold.\" Back off the heavy sauces and let the meat bethe star! Read more
Perfect balance of flavors and spice. We ate our sandwiches looking at the smoker where it was cooked, fresh and delicious.
1st time eating here after mini golf. We got the Maui wowie, Volcano and Maui mash. BBQ was sweet with a little tang and the... Volcano had good heat but not too spicy. It took her 10mins max to get everything ready, there was only 1 person before us.Portions were normal for sandwiches & Maui mash was good size and less money. Prices were reasonable and sad they were out ofBBQ ribs. Something to go back for when we return. Read more
