This restaurant deserves every star given and what a surprise. It's date worthy without going to the zoo at all. The smoked tuna... is smoked by a local and the restaurant prepares it beautifully-some of THE best I've ever had! The chicken salad and hummus areexcellent. Chimichurri steak sandwiches are a bit on the smaller side but wonderfully flavored. Everything was fresh, theservice was great, and the food came out quickly. I would definitely go again and again. This is not only a great place to grab lunch while visiting the zoo, it's also a nice spot for family dinners and date nights!... They have a varied menu and last night they had a wonderful young lady singing and playing guitar. To start, we had the tangygoat cheese with fig jam and the creamy hummus with warm pita bread. I've never seen black hummus but it was great. I recommendboth! ???? For our entrées, we had the Ribeye with gouda mashed potatoes and green beans, and the Argentinian steak tacos -all so delicious! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! We thought we were going to a restaurant/club and were stunned when we pulled up to the ZOO?! Our server... was Kris. She welcomed us right in even though we were the last ones in the building. Im a very picky eater and she was so sweetabout me customizing my meal and even gave me recommendations that aren’t even on the menu. If you want something here.. ASKAND YOU SHALL RECEIVE. The service and food was so amazing that we came back first thing the next morning for brunch. Theircinnamon rolls will change your life! One of the owners, Amber, learned that one of us in our group was vegan while at dinner.When they closed that night, she went to the store and bought extra vegan options (without knowing if we’d be there for brunchor not) so that if we did come back, our friend would have plenty of options in the morning. That is one of the kindest and mostthoughtful things I’ve experienced from a complete stranger. I’m so happy we came back! You can feel the love and passion inthe food and in the detail of the restaurant. They truly care about making sure everyone feels included. I wish I could be aregular here! You know it HAS to be good if you go to the zoo twice in 24 hours on a beach vacation! I will definitely be backand I will send anyone who is listening in their direction. I cannot brag enough about how wonderful our experience here was! After poor planning on my part, (every restaurant in Gulf... Shores had a 2+ hour wait) we came across this Gem! The decor and theme is great for the kiddos, live good music for us to relaxto and the food was actually delicious. Our only regret was not finding this place sooner! Our whole trip we had been overpayingand waiting hours for subpar food at the popular spots in town. This place was a nice change of scenery. Not overly crowded andhad free parking. This place is a must, we cannot wait to come back! Read more
Not your average zoo restaurant! It’s so much more. A beautiful facility and a unique menu to boot. For the off the path... dining choice in the area, I recommend Safari Club! 2022 EDIT: It’s still good! Try the crab cake entree, great mix offlavors! Read more
Good menu, food was good. Took longer to get seated and served than expected, although many tables were open. Could tell they... were short on staff today. But the staff that was there did the best they could. Read more
Who would have thought a restaurant this good could be located right next to a zoo! My wife and I had our anniversary lunch here... and we were both very pleasantly surprised how good it was. Plus, all the employees were A+. We started with the coconut shrimpappetizer - amazing. And for our lunch items, my wife chose "Grandma's Salad" and I went with the "Chicken Salad Plate". Bothdishes were awesome! Again, the service was top notch. We will definitely be back and I can't wait to try the "Singapore ChickenSatay" appetizer. We had a wonderful brunch experience at Safari club today. The service and food was absolutely amazing. The two sweet ladies... that run the place even came to the table to make sure everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for better good andservice. However, the place was so hot and sticky. We kept our menus at the table so we could fan ourselves. Several other guestwere seen fanning themselves and sweating.
