Food was decent but severely overpriced. I ordered a grilled shrimp platter for $17.50 and it looked like an elementary school... lunch tray. I did not get full. The hush puppies were the size of marbles and the corn fritter the size of a quarter. My wifegot a salad with fried shrimp, cranberries and pecans which she liked. Tuesday is oyster day. 89cent fresh shucked. These are some of the most tender & sweet Oysters I've eaten. My wife is a huge fan... of Oysters, me not so much. Until now!!! I only had 3 because not a big fan. I will be ordering them by the dozen myself now. Great place Read more
We went our first night and it was okay! The boiled shrimp plate was good and they give you a huge portion. Corn tasted weird.... The shrimp slaw is so good. The grilled fish plate was expensive with a tiny thin piece of fish but it was SO delicious. Hushpuppies were okay. The fries are not good. Greasy and sub par? you also can?t drink a beer sitting outside unless you are on thebench by the restaurant which is annoying but it?s not their fault. Just something to consider. Great shrimp, great service. This my second or third trip to the Shrimp Basket and I can say the food and service are... consistently very good. I?m going for the no frills shrimp and fries approach and this definitely hits the spot. We were seatedimmediately, our server interacted with us within a couple of minutes and our food was out in under 10 minutes. Everything washot and tasty - great job! Read more
Awesome lunch. Loved the food and the service. We had the signature shrimp basket with really tasty ???? fresh shrimps. Also... ordered delicious crab cakes with hush puppies.
