Absolutely horrific service tonight for Thanksgiving. I ordered the Steak Medium to Medium Well and what was brought out was the... most well done, toughest steak I've ever had. Unfortunately it took my waiter 10 minutes to return to our table to ask how wasthe food and at that point I had eaten a decent amount of the steak but I relayed the message how this $40 steak was abysmal. Hebrings over the manager Melissa who really annoyed us by saying “ we will relay your message to the kitchen staff”. I’msorry manager but not really interested in that but more interested in eating a decent steak that I paid for. Service slow, foodawful, Melissa the manager was inconsiderate to make things right. Would have hoped for another steak instead I got a free drinkbut the experience was ruined I just wanted to head for the exit! As for Cassis , apparently it was a great thanksgiving theywere slammed all day according to the waiter but for my wife and I a disaster. Will not be back. Service was great and very accommodating. Came on a Saturday morning around 10am. I tried booking/reservating a table online... beforehand but nothing was showing available. So I thought I'd try to see if I could get on a waiting list. They actually had atable outside available and seat me right away. Server was very sweet and attentive. I had the France bellini, hot tea, and theChorizo Benedict all were really good. I'll definitely be back in the future. Read more
We were in the area for a nice family stroll (we are not from the area as a whole). At first, we saw there were no Reservations,... but we went to the hostess and she happily seated us. We sat outside under the shaded area. They have fan going, but there is anice breeze that flows through. Our waiter Alex was amazing. We discussed more than just food, but nothing was forced. The foodwas delicious and we ate from the brunch menu. Everything was fluffy, fresh, and perfect. We also did the mimosas for two whichwas the perfect amount. Roughly 2 per person. The brioche french toast was fluffy, soft, and the syrup came on the side so thatyou can control your amount (for us that is all of it). Will absolutely be back on our next visit! Read more
Giving 3 for atmosphere. Didn't think food was worth the price. Very bland. Scrambled eggs were dry not light and fluffy.... Everything needed salt. Not very appealing. The chorizo eggs looked good and something different. Bread cakes brought beforemeal was a nice touch. They were short staffed but server was nice and trying to look after many tables. Read more
Food was good ( but the hot stuff wasn't) and we asked about the beer and our server he gave us the list but said we also have a... sour. I asked what it was he told me sour you won't like it. The beer we got was warm and flat. I get it was busy Saturday atnoon. But beer should be cold and warm food should be hot. 4 starts because I know it was probably an off day. Read more
Have to say I have always been satisfied with Cassis, until my last visit. The staff is always super friendly, however the food... was less then satisfactory. I had a dozen oysters to start. They were the smallest I've ever been served and we're not one bitworth it. I put three together in one shell to make it seem like an actual oyster. Then I ordered the octopus. I have had itmany times in the past and it has been unbelievably good. This time..extremely overcooked. I'm pretty sure it sat in the windowbecause I waited about 45min for it after putting in my order. I had been craving it for months, so that was quite adisappointment, especially for the price. Again staff is great and have had good past experiences, so I'm not giving up yet.Maybe just an off day. Read more
Prefect service by our waiter Mauricio. Excellent happy hour cocktails. Nice menu offerings from the apps to the entrees.... Dessert menu was so-so. Overall an excellent dining experience and worth many more! I would say...lose the Purell bottles on thetables and offer single use packs or have dispenser at the door, takes away from the decor and atmosphere. Read more
Had the most delicious breakfast at Cassis this morning. I ordered the Chorizo Sausage Benedicts and they were so tasty and... filling, I highly recommend this platter. It lacked a bit in presentation but it made it up in taste. The location is perfectand beautiful and the restaurant’s staff is so pleasant and helpful. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
