A friend recommended this restaurant to me and wow was he right! The atmosphere is unique, trendy and superb. I really... appreciate the vibe and ambience and the choice of indoor or outside seating depending on the experience I?m wanting at themoment. On top of that the food and service has been truly wonderful every time I?ve eaten there. Once I found thisscrumptious place to eat I must confess I?ve been there four times in a week and half. All of the food is truly fantastic thatI?ve tried but I particularly like the drunken noodles, the chicken tacos, Fruit Queen for a unique non-alcoholic beverage andthe pineapple upside down cake to top off a wonderful meal. At this point I?ve met clients there, had a wonderful mother /daughter afternoon and night out, met friends, and have truly enjoyed the experience every time! The other thing worthmentioning is how accommodating they have been with my garlic allergy. Many restaurants don?t pay attention when I tell themgarlic is an issue and the staff at Mangosteen went that extra mile to make sure the food was yummy but also safe for me toeat. A local favorite of ours and they continue to deliver good meals each time that we visit! Tonight I went with my favorite, The... Spicy Steak Sandwich, and my wife got the Duck Tacos on Corn Tortillas. As an appetizer we started with their Rainbow sushi rolland this is a must if you?re looking to wet your appetite a bit before the entree hits the table. We weren?t looking to drink,however, we opted to go with a mock tail tonight called The Saint; peach, mint, lime, and spritz! So good. I don?t give many five star reviews but Mangosteen certainly earned one today. Everything we had was wonderful. The veggie... spring rolls and the pork dumplings were hot, fresh, and delicious. The Bohemian Chickie was FANTASTIC! You have to go. Trustme, you?re going to LOVE IT! Read more
I had the pink dragon ball z drink, I don't recall what my wife had. Then the duck dumplings and spicy tuna roll for... appetizers. Then the drunken noodles (near) and pad lao (far). Everything was delicious and enjoyable. There was a nicevariety of specialty cocktails to satisfy most booze preferences. The roll had a nice but not overbearing spice to it. The duckdumplings had... duck... So you can't really go wrong there in my opinion. We both liked the taste of the Pad Lao a littlebetter than the drunken noodles, which were still excellent, but that could be just because we both really like Pad Thai whichit resembles. Overall we were very pleased with the choice to eat here. The atmosphere is also very nice, it has an airy urbantrendy feel. I liked the varied seating options as well. You can sit inside, outside, at the bar or at the sushi bar so youcan cater the experience to what you feel in the moment. Read more
Absolutely phenomenal dining experience! Our server, Kay, was amazing - so knowledgeable and kind. Our entrees were to die for -... shrimp tacos and volcano roll. Coming from NYC the bar is set pretty high - I can say this rivals as the finest sushi roll Ihave ever eaten.
