We were at Numex for lunch. It wasn't crowded so we were seated right away. We ordered drinks, and despite the lack of people... it took quite a while for the drinks to arrive. My wife and I ate there for dinner. It had finished raining, so the outside seating was wet. The staff didn't even offer it as a... suggestion (this is good). The inside wasn't packed and everything was clean. The host was smiling and directed us to a tablequickly. The server also appeared quickly and had the list of available drinks ready. He took our order for beverages anddeparted. Once we looked over the menu and the server came back, we had a question, which was answered quickly and a sample ofwhat we asked about was delivered. This affected out decision and was a great idea. We didn't have to wait long after the orderwas placed, and the food was very tasty. We didn't show up starving, so the portions were larger than anticipated. If you wantto call that a ding, go for it. I would appreciate a smaller serving. The seasonings were not overpowering and the sauces didn'tjust burn my mouth. There was flavor as well as some heat and they vanished with a good swallow of the beverage. I would go backto eat again. Phenomenal food and service! The menu is creative with beyond generous portions and fantastic flavor. The agave wine based... jalapeno margarita was excellent. White bald bar man very inattentive & depressingly somber, almost annoyed to have to pour a draft. Good ambiance but needs to... staff friendly, helpful people who don?t put off their misery vibe. Large portions and good pricing. Every thing I?ve had has been pretty good. They have a cool venue if you want to sit outside... and have a meal there. I frequently call in and order a Cali burrito for take out. Read more
