This is a weekly lunch meeting place. Shay is a fabulous server. She remembers my lunch & is always spot on. The food is always... good. Service was fast and friendly, no complaints. Katherine L. took good care of us. Food came out fast. Salsa was on the salty... side. The grilled skirt steak was perfectly cooked, very tasty. But the chimichanga was more like a burrito, soft and notcrunchy. Beans and rice were lukewarm. The worst item on both our dishes was the "guacamole". Nasty green puree, slimy andnasty tasting. I've never gotten "guacamole" like this in any other Mexican restaurant. It's going to keep us from returning.See pic. Read more
We are glad we chose to go back to El Saltillo Mexican restaurant. We were tired of the same flavors everywhere we went. It?s... surprising flavorful , I had shrimp Berrito my husband had chili relleno and D plate. The wait staff is friendly and the diningroom is clean. Thank you El Saltillo till next time. Read more

We frequently visit the El Saltillo on Cedar Lake rd and have always enjoyed it. So we decided to try the El Saltillo on hwy 49.... While this one isn't terrible, it is just mediocre at best. It was crowded and overly loud. The service wasn't bad, just alittle slow. It seems odd that some tables have salt and pepper on them but many don't. I think from now on we will stick tothe Cedar Lake location. Read more
