Oh my god this place is so good. The steak was prepared as ordered (a rarity), melted in my mouth. The potatoes had a delicate... crust, and the asparagus was both crispy and juicy. The demi-glaze made my eyes roll back. I will be coming back tomorrow. Read more

Stopped in to check this place out. Didn?t have a reservation but they sat me at the bar right then. The staff was very friendly... and Brook was awesome. I had the burger. All i can say is Damn!!! Cooked to perfection, high quality meat and the candied baconwas superb. I would definitely dine here again. No picture. I ate all of it. Read more

An excellent option for a great meal in Gunnison. Particularly mind-blowing was the cilantro pesto sauce on the ribeye, which... was cooked as instructed and very tender. Additionally, all the food we ordered was very well prepared and plated and serviceby Aiden (who I?m dubbing ?tallest waiter in Gunnison?) was exceptional. Oh, and if you?re a bourbon fan, they had Blanton?savailable at a fair price. If we don?t come back, it?s just because we live in the Dallas area. But if you live anywhere close, this should be one of your regular restaurants. Read more

My son just started college in town, so we went here as our last meal together before dropping him off. What a great place to... have a celebration dinner. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, with great recommendations. My spouse asked ourserver whether a certain dish was good, and he replied that it was very popular. When she pushed back and said "good and populararen't always the same thing", our server said that at Blackstock, everything is good. He said that the owner is also theexecutive chef and he is at the restaurant every day because of how much he loves and cares for creating delicious food. He saidthat in all honesty everything is delicious. He wasn't lying The drinks were generous and well made. I loved the BlackstockBurger-- even though it was topped with elements that had really strong flavors (like cracker pepper mayo and tabasco candiedbacon), the burger itself wasn't overpowered. The prices seem to be higher than most other places we looked at in town, but thequality of the meal, drinks, and experience was completely worth it. We'll be back! Read more

First and foremost incredible staff, they were able to work in a somewhat last minute reservation for a party of six with just a... few hours notice, ON SPRING BREAK??Incredible communication??????????????????Most of the people at our table opted for the fishand chips ?small plate?, fyi not small, everyone enjoyed their fish, I sampled it too and thought it was really good, nice andcrispy. I had a ?small plate? of the scallops and they were very tasty and the sauces complimented them well. I also had a sidethat was great. I had to try a few of the taco Tuesday specials, one was the hangar steak and the other was the mahi-mahi, bothwere good but the steak was special. Lastly the $5 Tuesday margarita?s were a nice surprise for a mountain town during springbreak. Great job y?all Read more

We were visiting from out of town and a business owner in one of the small shops recommended this place to us. We didn?t have a... reservation, but we were still accommodated and we are so thankful! WOW is how I?d like to start off! I had the filet mignon andmy husband had the ribeye. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned perfect. Everything that accompanied the steakswas so delicious too. The steaks melted in our mouths! Our amazing waiter Thomas was so attentive, super friendly and providedexcellent service. To top off the incredible meal, Thomas recommended the flourless chocolate torte with a scoop of saltedcaramel gelato on the side. It was the best desert we?ve ever had! Kudos to the amazing chef! We both took our first bite andimmediately smiled! It?s to nice to go to a restaurant that is so passionate about their food and service. Thank you so much forthe outstanding meal, desert and service! Read more

I don't get why anyone said the food was delicious. I ordered the salmon, son ordered the filet, and husband and daughter... ordered the sliders. Beautiful plating. Excellent ambience. Decent service. Saw the prices and thought, I bet this will be sodelicious! Saw the reviews and all that. Wow. I have no idea how, but this food was utterly terrible. The old fashioned I had tostart was also the very worst old fashioned I've ever had. It tasted basically like a shot of bitters. The food on my plate hada strange flavor as everything tasted the same. I suppose the sliders were enjoyed by my daughter but my husband said his wereterrible as well. Cost of a dish is between 25 and 35 for most entrees. I would not eat this food again if it were free. Pleasecook better. I can't imagine serving guests this food. However, I guess some people do like it. This is just my honest opinion,I hated every bite of food I had. Chili's is about ten times better that's how bad the food was. I really get nauseous eventhinking about it. I know it all looks pretty, but it all tastes bland and fairly flavorless. If you're from the North, it mightbe right up your alley as the closest thing I've had to this terrible was when I lived in Washington state. (East side). Read more
