I live in Kenosha, WI; and this is the closest Long John Silver's to me (we used to have one then it burned down and they never... rebuilt it). So, I drove 30 minutes to go and enjoy this special treat. The food, well it was amazing, and the prices werefair. I even got food for another friend after I had finished eating. For the not so favorable part, the service... The serviceat the drive through was horrible. The person taking our order was rude, immediately, and didn't want to be bothered by myquestions (I just wanted to know it the ice tea had lemon flavoring in it as well). And since I had eaten my meal in the car,when I came through again to order for my friend, she made an rude comment about me coming through twice. I'm sure they werehaving a bad day, but it just ruined the whole experience. When I told my friend about the service, they told me that when theywent last time, the service experience was similar. Everything was freshly made. I had 1pc chicken and 1pc fish. The chicken was bland and the fish was just ok. The tartar sauce... was good. Thumbs down on the hush puppy. Too expensive, wouldn't go back. Read more
They you were rude and they said that the inside was not open all she would tell me is drive-through and out every other... restaurant they?re open for the inside we drove a long way wouldn?t use a reason why to get there drive-through so without anyreason why.. Listen I've never been a fan of shared restaurants. This one confirmed my reasoning. Fish, fries, shrimp, and hushpuppies were... so greasy I could just squeeze it out in a cup. The servers were nice. But food omg I'll never ever ever come back. Read more
Yesterday, my dad decided to go there on a whim for dinner (we live in Wisconsin), so he drove with myself and my brother over... there. Our plan was to eat inside and then order something to bring home to Mom...we love Long John Silver's fish, chicken andhush puppies THAT much, and the food we got was still FANTASTIC (which is why this is a two-star and not a one-star review). Sadly, this is where my praise must end. First off, we found that the doors were locked even though there was a "DINING ROOMOPEN" sign on the lawn outside it in the KFC typeface and stripes. When we asked about it in the drive-thru, the worker saidthat the dining room was closed because of their short staffing (how does that explain it?) Second, there was some confusionover our orders and whether or not a combo required a drink (which is why I ended up with a drink and my dad and brotherdidn't). In addition, they got my dad and brother's order wrong (they ordered a six-piece chicken dinner, but were given threechicken and three fish), and finally, we never got any receipt or any information about filling out a survey..which leads tothis review. Been here 4 times in the last 2 years. Says dine in area open but has never been. Very busy today. Cars from WI, Ohio and if... course IL. Waited 20 minutes for fresh product but was worth it. Read more
I havent had LJS is a long time. So my comparison is from pre pandemic. The fish was just as good as I remember. The lady who... took my order was very patient and polite. The chicken was galf the size it used to be for more money. Read more
Overly priced and bad service, first thing first customer service should always be A1 when serving the customer. They don?t have... it what so ever, it needs to under go new management right away. Reevaluate the whole restaurant as a whole because i will notbe spending my money here ever again.
