Not a well run store, ordered inside and watched car after car move through the drive through. Guy came from the back to take... my order. Went back to make chicken. Waited forever for food. He comes back up and promptly filled my order. Get back and 3chicken sandwiches had buns so toasted they crumbled in your hand. Sides were fine but sandwiches were sitting around too long.Give the kid from the back raise, only one who knows how to hustle. Read more

Their chicken is very greasy and have no flavor. I ordered spicy chicken in 2 separate occasions and they tasted like their... bland mild. Today, I ordered just a large Cajun rice and it was only filled fluffily 3/4 full and it tastes bland, like nastywhite rice. My gosh, the worst Popeyes branch I've ever encountered and I tried to give them a few tries because they are closeby, but seriously bad everytime. The Customer service through drive thru is not good. Very short and does not allow you to speak. They want to finish quickly... and are rude in their approach. Also the orders I place always have less product. Today I had two large side orders of Fries andit was barely enough for one in two boxes. This is the Gurnee site. It's a new location and always something wrong here. Thereis system issues with no credit card accepted at times. Also there is delays on food orders way too long. And you can't orderin the app for this location either. They have no vetting of employees or are not trained correctly as well. I don't have anyissues in the Round lake IL. Popeyes. This is not good as it takes attention and proper communication to make customers comeback. But let's get the order right and then it's a better customer experience. This is not the place for this. Horrible location, they completely messed up my order. I ordered (and paid for) the two strips with popcorn shrimp meal with a... side of (upcharged mac & cheese). They gave me a 3 piece dark chicken with fries as my side. I contacted corporate and theyonly offered me some Popeye points, I told them I wanted a refund. They stated they would reach out to the franchisemanagement. They are not responding. I have tried calling the location multiple times - they never pick up the phone, and theirvoicemail box is full. It was good when it first opened but what happened? I was there yesterday and they gave me a sprite that tasted like unflavored... sparkling water, my wings were very small, and the chicken and rice and beans were kinda bland. The only good thing was thebiscuits. Also, no one answers the phone (I've been calling for two days) so now I'm about to head to the place so I can talk tosomeone. I am not one to write reviews but I cannot let this slide. I went to this new location which is close to home and ordered... specifically 4 chicken breast and 3 tenders and 6 biscuits only, girl at the drive thru was not listening at all, soundedannoyed, hard to understand then got up to the window and they hand me a drink. I said I didn't order a drink and they said itwas part of the combo. I asked what it was and they said a coke, I don't drink soda and was never asked what drink I wanted. They didn't have any of the sauces according to them so I left got home and boom there are no tenders and the chicken breastlooked old half crunchy half soggy. I threw it all away because if employees don't care to listen and that is what you get Isurely am not eating that. Time and money wasted but worth it not going back there. Awful employees that could care less aboutworking or how customer service works. Make the drive to Round Lake, way better people and the food is on point! Read more
There was only crispy chicken available when we visited on Nov.20, 2022 at 5:30 pm. They started cooking chicken after a bunch... of customers arrived.. Our orders took 30 minutes to come out! The dining room was nice and warm but the restrooms were meatlockers. Women don't typically pee standing up. The toilet seats were ice cold, like both of the restrooms. Only cold water ranfor hand washing. Popeyes should fix the problems at this location. Read more
