Great experience staying in one of their yurts! The grounds were very well maintained and had a great view/accessibility to the... ocean. The staff were very kind. Overall very relaxing experience. Read more

This unique accommodation was a highlight on our travels around Atlantic Canada. It is located on a beautiful vineyard with... views of the ocean. We arrived on a stormy day and were worried about water, thankfully everything stayed dry in the Yurt. John, the manager was exceptionally accommodating, driving us to the yurt in a golf-cart, readying our hot-tub and barbecue, andserving us flights of spirits while describing the nuances of each delicious one. In the morning he made the best coffee I hadin all of Nova Scotia. The beans are ethically sourced and roasted on-site. They have a Jura super-automatic espresso makerwhich made perfect Americanos. For the reviewers complaining about lack of amenities, it's glamping (emphasis on the campingpart!) The showers and toilets were very clean and lined with aromatic cedar. The Yurts had WiFi, nice beds, a table, chairs, plates, glasses, cutlery, and a wood-stove. Our unit had both a hot-tub and a bbq. Things to bring: a cooler, a frying panand/or pot, your own food (though there are some restaurants in-town), water bottles. Notes on the yurts: 1-4 are located closeto the distillery. These are great for proximity to the car and coffee, but you get some noise. 5-9 are located down by thewater, which is quiet, but a bit of a trek to the car. 10 is located in a private area by the water with it's ownbathroom/kitchen combo. Stayed at the Distillery House last night with a friend from Toronto. Big disappointment. Old semi-refurbished motel room. There... was a road crew of 4 next door, smoking, drinking and listening to very loud c&w music outside next door.,our windows were openand room smelled like an ashtray. Distillery supposedly opening until 5, so we went to town to get some mix for.cocktails. Cameback by 345 and tasting room door was locked and lights out. A man did drive in after 5 and was let in to purchase something. Will definitely not recommend staying here, especially for $200 a night. Read more

I had a bad stay at Authentic Seacoast yurts in September of 2021. We booked yurt 5 for the hot tub, asked for it to be ready... and it was not when we arrived. It wasn't even filled with water. We paid extra for the spot just for this reason. We had beenpromised, and it was in their site rules, that there would be a golf cart to use and this never materialized while we were therefor two days. This is a large property and walking during the rain that fell the second day we were there was not great. We hadno access to the sauna, it wasn't ready. We were charged for wood but not given kindling or paper, we were charged for ice eventhough there is no other way to keep your food fresh as there is no power. You have to wash your own dishes at the bathroom, which made me question how clean things are if the guests are asked to clean up after themselves. We had no wifi at our yurt, even though we were promised a number of times over our stay that this would be fixed, it never was. When I brought all of thisto the owners attention, he accused me of lying. Said there were no issues with the wifi and that they were not responsible forthe hot tub not being available. He would offer no money back on the charges for the more expensive unit. The only reason theyget 2 stars and not one is that the staff is nice, and the view lovely. Read more

Incredible rum! I bought the coffee maple and the coffe hits you first, then the mild maple. Outstanding and great price point... at 34.99. Nice tasting room and great customer service. Read more

Stopped in at the end of our distillery tour of Cape Breton in 2018. No tours, rather impersonal service and didn?t really feel... welcome. Brought home a bottle of SeaFever rum and almost three years later, it?s half consumed and gathering dust on my liquortray. Read more

Stayed in the dog friendly yurts number 3 and 9 with our friends. Had a really great time there. The hottub and sauna still... weren't running yet but there were lots of other things to do on the property and surrounding areas but if you were visiting inwinter hopefully this will be ready by then. The yurts themselves were very spacious and clean. The property was meticulouslymaintained. I definitely plan to return this winter. My only criticism was they are a coffee roaster yet didn't have a baristato serve espresso based drinks or even a proper espresso machine. Seemed a little odd where they are in the business of roastingbeans. Read more
