We loved our overnight stay at this beautiful historic inn and wished we had time to stay longer. We had a delicious haddock... dinner during our stay here and really enjoyed the creative salad and homemade soup too. I can't wait until we can go back. Read more
Amazing service and Fantastic rooms, The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Even made sprinkle pancakes for my 2 year old... and he loved them. Also didn't realize that everything shuts down early so we were stranded without food for supper (6 adultsand 5 children) and they were amazing and made us up some sandwiches and gave us apples and yogurt too. I have stayed in the hotel as well as ate in the restaurant twice. The restaurant menu and food is fairly simple but taste good.... It's nearly all seafood. The atmosphere is nice. Read more
Food is excellent, great wine selection, comfortable common areas and great staff. Chef is accommodating to food allergies and... sensitivities. Rooms are well kept and comfortavle. Able to come and go as you please. Town is quaint and quiet yet friendly.Will be highly recommending to friends and family. Read more
I was there for the Guysborough Academy prom dinner, beautiful place, big photogenic backyard, with beautiful scenery. The... dinner itself was turkey dinner I think, and was prepared with absolute excellence. The presentation was awe worthy, and theserver staff were prompt and professional. They were also flexible, offering vegetarian options. The dessert was exquisite andsomething that easily took hours to prepare. It had a flaky crust shell, with pudding inside, and served with fresh raspberrysauce. The plate itself was elegantly decorated with a perimeter of chocolate sauce. Beautiful location! The staff were great and provided very personalized service. The food was absolutely incredible. No... elevator, so be prepared to get a workout carrying your luggage up 3 flights. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable.Very nice bathrooms with deep soaker tubs.
