Only complaint is I got 6 oxtails for lunch and spent 16$ on it, food was good, tad spicy flavor could be tasted (maybe cayanne... pepper). So if you don't like spicy food you might not like the oxtail on your flavor palate. Rice and cabbage was good. Lunchcame with sprite can. All in all for this black business, it's good I would buy again but overpriced for small food bowl. I waslike this is half the size of regular circular container Read more

Ordered via uber eats back in June. Ordered around 3pm and didn?t receive the food till around 4pm. Ordered the curry goat with... white rice and steamed vegetables, added a side of potato salad and told them to add gravy. Also ordered a side portion of bakedmac & cheese?needless to say everything had arrived cold and tasted like old/reheated food (I live about a 10 minute drive; foodshould not have gotten cold fast). I understood the wait time and gave them the benefit of the doubt if it was to be cookedfresh or whatever but that was not the case. I had to contact the delivery person to go into the restaurant to check up on thefood and only when he went inside is when the food had miraculously just finished being prepared. And after such a long wait Iwas left disappointed, after having checked the reviews I couldn?t understand why all the food was dry and tasteless?nothing wasseasoned, rice wasn?t properly cooked, goat curry didn?t come with gravy and was dry and tasted like old meat & the mac & cheesewas the blandest thing i ever tasted in my life? how do you even fail to make a proper mac & cheese? Sadly, I will not berecommending this place to anyone and will advise others to deal with at your own risk. Read more

I was in the mood for Jamaican food and had this spot on the list. I ordered my food online. I ordered the red snapper and the... king fish. A few minutes later they called me and said they had no red snapper and no king fish. Bummer! I went with the sweetchili salmon and the whiting. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby and walked in. I was greeted and told them my name. The nice young lady grabbed my food and handed it to me and I left. When I got in I dug in and the food was very good. Thesalmon was very filling and the sweet chili was very good. I also enjoyed the whiting. I had a good experience and would return. Read more

NOTE: if you are paying with a credit card, restaurant passes their credit card fees to their customers, so expect to pay an... additional 3.99% fee. My friend and I were in the mood for Caribbean food and I remembered that there was a Jamaican restaurantnearby. It is a small takeout place with no indoor seating. The menu is pretty big and the staff moderately friendly. I orderedlarge sweet chili chicken with oxtail gravy (extra charge), cabbage and rice. The portion is very large and filling. Chicken wascrispy with an ample amount of seasoning, but the rest of the dish was lackluster. Both cabbage and rice were bland, lackingtaste and salt. If you are very hungry, you will likely enjoy it, but if you are an adventurous eater who appreciates deliciousfood, this place will likely disappoint. Read more

14 parish is a great place to go the food is very good, I would recommend the jerk chicken and waffles. The environment is very... electric even on a lazy afternoon. The bartenders make really good drinks and very friendly staff. I would recommend gettingsome of their cocktails right after work. Sitting at the bar gives you a first person view of how they make their drinks and howthey make it more appealing to the eyes. I didn't have to wait long to get a seat even though they were full of people. Lovedthe Caribbean music playing in the background it's a great place to meet someone or just out for a nice date. The dress attirethat works here is nice casual and and in the evenings dressed up more works great. It has the feel of a upscale restaurantwith a vibe that works for different age groups from 24-60. It's in the Hyde Park area so easy to get to and their bar hasnights where they are open late. Many places in Hyde Park close early and if you want a nice mixed drink your choices arelimited past 11pm. This place works any night of the week and just as good in the day time. Read more

Wonderful stew beef with all the African flavor plus Jamaica island flair. Just the right level of spiciness. Great food and... even better value. Takeout only, no problem with Apple Pay. Read more

My pregnant wife just left here tonight and we were excited about getting curry chicken, Mac and cheese, and cabbage (her... craving). However, when we went to eat the chicken, we noticed it was pink. My wife called the place and was told by whoeveranswered the phone that she was lying and that, whoever answered the phone, went and checked and there was no pinkchicken. Unfortunately, we wasted $25 on uncooked, under seasoned food. Such a terrible experience. Please see photos for atruthful account of our night. Read more
