Hubby and I decided to have our Anniversary dinner here. The first booth had grease and food items on the seating area. We were... taken to another booth that also needed to be wiped down. The waiter came and poured us glasses of water. My glasses had asticky substance on the outside of it. From the point, I was DONE!!! Two dirty booths and glass! Hubby decided to order theshrimp scampi, I ordered the mac/cheese without the lobster. He enjoyed his meal, the Mac was tasteless! I couldn't finish it.Velveta in the box is more enjoyable. I did enjoy my strawberry lemonade... I wouldn't return here again! Read more

Dined on Saturday evening for a reservation for 5. Was there to celebrate special occasions as I had good time here last time I... dined in which was a few years back. The waitress led us to our table but the table was very wobbly to begin with. Just havingyour hands on it was enough for everyone to notice that this table was way too wobbly. We told the manager about it and she toldus that all of their tables are like that. They ended up giving us a different table and sure enough the table is perfectlyfine. Putting that aside, our porterhouse came out cold and we told a different manager about it. He gave us sort of a 'I am notgiving you a new steak, so what do you want me to do?' attitude. They took the steak and reheated it but the steak was prettymuch medium when it came back (we ordered rare). The steaks were fine but the shrimp in the scampi and the lobster in the macand cheese was overcooked. We also got the lava cake for dessert but the cake had no 'lava' in it whatsoever. My family and Iwere too tired to keep telling them about these problems so we just left without saying much. This restaurant has a qualityissue for their price range. I can get better food and service next doors at Houston for half the price. If you are willing torisk $100 or more per person to see if you can get decent food with decent service? Go ahead. I'll be looking elsewhere. Read more

This is semi fancy place. The portions are very large but the food is very delicious. The server was very attentive and kind and... gave good suggestions and was not forceful. All the wait staff keep close eye on our table for when we were done with a dish toprovide us with new flatware and silverware. The ambience was dark but you could still see the others at the table. Therestaurant filled up quick we had a reservation and sat and within 30 min the restaurant was packed with ppl. You will spend$100 plus but it is worth it for the right occasion. The entrance is a little weird from the outside you have to walk up 3flights. Also most of the dishes they do not allow sharing a plate. They don't really have a steak for two or 3. But the singleportion should fill you up. Read more

We were at first unsure where the front desk was so we stood there squinting in the dark trying to figure out how to be seated.... Eventually we found the desk walking straight down, on the left side. We were then shown to our table. Our server was fantastic.I don't remember her name but she had reddish hair, I believe. I felt really special on my birthday. The lobster ravioli wastasty and the porterhouse was cooked perfectly. They took a photo of us and gave us the print at the end with my customized menuwith my name printed on the top! The lava cake took 20 minutes to come out but our server did warn us how long it would take.At first I was confused when she asked if we wanted dessert right when our main and appetizer arrived. I realized when my lavacake arrived why it took so long. It must be made fresh. It was so decadent and chocolately. The vanilla ice cream was theperfect pairing. Our server said it was on the house because it was my birthday! I would recommend this restaurant for a date orany special occasion. Read more

I wanted to love this place, I truly did. The service was mediocre. Granted my waitress was sweet, certain things occurred that... was disappointing. Missed Utensils for the meal as a knife was removed from the table but was only returned after request. Ialso ordered bacon wrapped scallops add on to my steak but that was not brought when entree arrived. Next she had asked if Iwanted the "famous" lava cake at the start of dinner since it took 40 min to prep. I agreed but when it was time for dessertshe brings the menu and no mention of the cake. When I asked she says it will be another 40 min but what happened when YOU askedme 40+ min ago would I want the cake. But what took the cake is someone offered to wrap my food, I was already apprehensive toallow as I know errors can happen. I had taken the remaining meat off the bone and set it to the side but I wanted to take thebone home to my pup. Well that was my mistake since I mentioned this to the individual it must have confused them and theydiscarded the meat and only gave me the bone ????. If there was a misunderstanding why wouldn't you wrap both and then ask me ifI wanted the meat. They threw away a good chunk of my steak without an after thought. So manage my disappoint when I realizedthis AFTER I was home putting away my food. I specifically choose this place so this was a huge disappointment after. The foodwas delicious and drinks delightful but I highly recommend another location as small oversights are hard to miss when you'respending over $300 for a meal for 2. Read more

This past Saturday, my wife and I wanted to have dinner before we heading to see the film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon... City. So we opted to eat at Morton's at Riverside in Hackensack. We called Morton's on our way there to see if a reservationwas needed for only the two of us, and after speaking with Don over the phone he explained to us that normally we would need areservation but at the moment they didn't have any available tables and if we wanted a table our wait time would be at least 3hours, he also further explained that we can sit by the bar on a "first come first serve" basis, which we opted for thelatter. Upon arrival we were greeted by Don, a presentable, nice young man. The place was packed and lively, we were in luckthat no sooner we arrived and a couple of bar stools opened up. We sat down, we met two fine bartenders: Georgie & Alex. Bothwere friendly, courteous and skilled at their craft. For drinks I got me a cocktail called "Island Bessie", my wife doesn't carefor alcoholic beverages so she kept her glass of water. I asked Georgie for a couple of cherries for my drink and she obliged, they use real, dark cherries, not the fake maraschino's in a jar. For appetizers we ordered: Grilled Oysters & French Onionsoup. My wife's favorite appetizer dish is the French Onion soup and she said that this is the BEST she's ever had, I had ataste and she was absolutely right. The Grilled Oysters were out of this world, bursting with an intense flavor. For entree Iopted for the Miso Sea Bass with Bokchoy, she on the other hand wanted meat and got Grilled Prime Pork Chops. Our sides wereSpinach with Mushrooms and Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes. We both thought that this is what eating dinner in heaven must be like. What an exquisite & tender Sea Bass, the miso sauce gave it a flavorful touch. The Grilled Chops were so tender, juicy anddelectable, the sides were superb! Morton's is an expensive, classy restaurant, but oh its worth it! The service p Read more

Food was okay, French Onion soup was very good. Our waiter was very nice. We complained about the spinach, it was salty, they... took it out of the bill. Free dessert for my birthday ???? Cheesecake was good not to sweet. Read more
