A perfect place for dinner! I was surprsed by my dear friends for my birthday and because I'm a bit of a foodie sat at the... "chef's table", so to speak! We got to see the kitchen in action, and watch the poetic dance of everyone in the kitchen. Andevery appetizer , entree, and dessert came out beautifully plated and delicious. Lovely meal with fam and friends. Service was good, lamb was out of this world. We brought our own wine and beer and there was... no corkage fee which is very rare (and awesome). The portions were fabulous, we all had two courses and were very full after. Read more

They serve high end food made from the best ingredients they could buy, and combined in contrasting ways. The plating was also... good. I think most would be happy with the food, however I did not personally find the food to be worth the price. The disheslacked the creativity I would like from such an expensive restaurant, and furthermore the food was to salty in general, whichdetracted from the otherwise interesting flavors and fine ingredients. They do have excellent Gluten free options, so that's aplus for me. I wouldn't come again, but I'd encourage those who enjoy great ingredients to try them. Read more
James On Main, what can I say about James On Main. Best food I've had. That being said this is my first venture into a more... fine dining atmosphere because I never thought it would be worth the price but that just isn't true. Beginning with thestarters, the burrata dish that I ordered was fantastic, best burrata I've ever had. It was creamy and the persimmon andraisins was a great addition to the burrata. My wife had the mushroom bisque which was another home run. It wasn't just mixedtogether, they put thought I to this bisque and layered everything throughout the cup to give you a great experience with everyspoonful. I don't need to say a lot bout the second course because it will speak for it's self. The confit crispy duck that mywife has was amazing and so was so pork belly with soy that I had. Both perfectly done. If you know what those are you can justimagine. Our entrees were also not there to disappoint. I had the duck breast and my wife had the ribs. The duck breast wasso tender and juicy it's something that I couldn't ever cook the way they did, and I am pretty good in the kitchen. The ribs mywife had I didn't get to try but she said we're top notch. At the end of the day would I eat there again, yes. I now have abetter understanding of the more fine dining experience and will definitely say it was worth the money. The one downside I willsay is they do not have any beer which seems like a missed opportunity with one of the better breweries around right across thestreet. Maybe a collaboration exclusive beer? It’s always such a treat to eat here! The food is insanely delicious, of the highest quality and perfectly plated! I’ve run... into the Chef/owner shopping for his daily menus at local farms - so you know it’s fresh! I also love the “open view”kitchen. Most restaurants don’t want customers to see inside the kitchen. Not only is it wonderful to see masters at theirwork but I imagine it is just as gratifying for Chef and the entire crew to see us, the customers, relishing each bite! Superb,always. Read more
We had an excellent experience at James on Main. We did the 7 course tasting menu. The portions were the perfect size and the... flavors were layered and complex. Jen our waitstaff was attentive and respectful. They even called us ahead of time to let usknow they had a slight change in one of the courses which was a nice courtesy. Highly recommend! Read more
