A local hidden gem in Haddon Heights, NJ! Just back from Brunch at Kunkel’s on Kings Highway and wanted to write a review. We... have enjoyed going to Kunkel’s for years now and will say the food is always consistent. The staff is more than accommodatingand Carol is a delight! Kunkel’s is family owned with Carol and John at the helm. Over the years we have enjoyed manydinners, lunches and most recently Thursday night Burger night and Sunday brunches with family and friends. You can almostalways find Carol in the restaurant and it’s great to know that after all these years she still takes pride in running theplace. She ensures everyone has a wonderful experience! The menu periodically changes and we find new favorites all the time(and you will too)! If you are looking for a restaurant where you are treated well and made to feel like family this is theplace. Don’t forget to try on of John’s delicious Frozen Cheesecakes. Yum! Please keep Them on the menu! The atmosphere iswarm and inviting and again with Carol at the helm you can be assured that no detail is left unchecked. She even checks therestrooms periodically, it’s all in the details! I’m so beyond late to writing a review! Lol but almost 5 months ago I had my venue here for my wedding and had such a really... great time! So intimate and sweet, enjoyed everything and the food was amazing! My husband and I had a great time with friendsand family. This was my first time coming there. I took my husband for his birthday. They sat us apart from others for a more romantic... setting. BYOB was definitely a plus. The service was impeccable, very personal. The owner talked to us several times. The foodwas amazing. The waiter convinced us to get dessert after we were stuffed and I’m so glad she did. The cheesecake was amazing.She explained to us how all of their sauces food, grounded meat was made in house. My husband loved it. Went for my boyfriends birthday and I can’t say enough nice things. I saw a review once that someone’s food took “forever... to arrive” or something like that - I’d have to disagree. I think everything came out so perfectly. Our server Denise wasfantastic, the noise level was perfect, we never felt crowded, and the food was just fantastic. Beautiful facade from the parking lot, lots of wood detail from the from door to welcome you to your table. A warm, family vibe.... The menu was lovely. Immediately welcomed like we were family, scratch that, better than family. Sat immediately, drinks right away and a go as we... please delivery. The setting is great. Family pictures greeting you and a relaxing but classy feel to everything else. Ourserver was Denise who explained everything and highlighted both her favorite and popular dishes. Between courses Carol, one ofthe owners, came to welcome us and check in. The food…. Was amazing we got a spread of burgers and steaks that were justperfect. Great experience for my bridal shower. They were accommodating and so friendly. Food was great!

Went for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Very nice place, good food and the service was excellent. The hostess checked on us... the whole time and even asked if we'd like the fireplace on as it's cold as a witch's nip outside. The soft freeze dessertpictured is DELICIOUS!!! I got the lemon and blueberry but look forward to trying the chocolate and strawberry. I must say myfavorite thing was the stuffed portobello mushroom. Read more
