This place is simultaneously the best and most frustrating bagel experience you can have in the Philly/south jersey area. Hands... down favorite bagel sandwich no contest. However, the service is a mess. We've been coming here for years, and the owners areincredibly nice, but everyone that works there wanders between stations, therefore managing to be as slow and ineffective asthey possibly can be. There?s rarely anyone at the register to help customers, so there are people waiting in line thatshouldn?t actually be waiting?e.g. people whose call-ahead orders are ready and just need to pay, people who are just buyingbagels, etc. Each person that works there needs to pick a single job and stick to it. The youngest employee (it's currently ayoung man with glasses on Saturdays) needs to stay at the register and just do the register, nothing else. The older man needsto expedite?package orders, take phone orders, put tickets on the line, and hand out people?s orders. The ladies need to stay onthe grill & assemble sandwiches. That?s it. If everyone just stuck to their own job, this place would operate so much moresmoothly. We say this because we love their food and like the owners, and hope they see this, so they can improve theirbusiness. Read more
I was on the verge of tears trying to find a mediocre bagel in my area. I fought for years but it was all too plain, too... flavorful, TOO SALTY. No, no. Not you. You keep my world spinning, baby. Nova Lox cream cheese onion tomatoes and capers. Very good bagels cooked freash daily. Great selection of drinks.
I went in the day after Thanksgiving at 11 o'clock and ordered a breakfast sandwich I watched a whole crowd of people come in... order and leave with their food. I asked about my order and the kid behind the counter did not give me an answer. An hour laterI asked again and still no answer if he had my order. I left after an hour once the kid behind the counter got rude with me.Noon! The crowd changed twice while I was in there. Lesson learned... Read more
