I got the 12 Oz sirloin, please know that the place is called black rock because the plate they serve the steak on, is a literal... black rock, heated to 750 degrees!, you want rare steak, flip the steak from one side to the other, put is aside, put the butteron the rock, repeat the heat and flip process for the steak, then take it off, finished cooking in less than 30 seconds!Depending on whether you want rare, medium rare, or well done! Arrived at 4 which was an hour earlier then our reservation. And was told if we came back in 20 minutes we would be able to be... seated. Returned at 4:30 and was told we had to wait till our 5 reservation. Once we finally got seated we had Sarah L. as ourserver and she was amazing at her job. They had a valentines special running for $80 per couple. And she did an amazing job atmaking sure we always had our next course on time but not making us feel rushed. Food was very good. Very unique experience- volcano themed restaurant! They serve their meats on a volcanic rock slate and it cooks to your desire... doneness right in front of you. All the food tasted really good and the bartender was very personable. The drinks were on thebitter side, despite getting the fruitiest drinks on the menu. This is a chain restaurant but is only available in a limitedamount of states so it felt like an authentic experience. Brad was a wonderful bartender and waitress. I ordered the crab cakes it was good. I would order that again. I ordered 3 way... soup, I wasn't a fan maybe because the three that I chose didn't compliment each other. I also order fries and dessert. Thebrownie was so good. Fantastic place! Great service by Natasha, she explained everything perfectly. We dined in for a birthday, got the pretzel... fondue appetizer, both cheeses are good but the nacho cheese is the star. The smoked Apple Cider drink, is phenomenal. Highlyrecommend that. We got a ribeye and sirloin for meals with a salad, baked potatoes and macaroni and cheese.
