Let me start by saying that my family (2adults and 2 children) love this place. We?ve come here probably 70+ times (in the past... 8years) for all occasions. Anniversary, birthday, just because, and more. Tonight we were celebrating my birthday at ourfavorite restaurant. We don?t make complicated orders, in fact, we don?t have the starter salad or soup, nor do we eat the largeamount of veggies they give everyone else, we usually only get chicken, shrimp or salmon. Nothing extravagant. Tonight, It tookan hour for the chef to arrive at our table. He nearly burnt everything that touched the grill. Those were not major deals, wehappily waited and ate what was cooked. My issue comes with the check. They attempted to force a gratuity upon us. When we sawthat and asked why it was never there before but now it was, she blatantly told us it?s because we don?t tip. The last time Ichecked, tipping was optional. Beyond that, we budget these visits carefully and allot what it takes to pay for the meals. Whenconfronted, they said that no one in the establishment wants to serve us because we don?t tip. They says the tips are all theiremployees make and we impact their living wage. There?s a few problems with that. First, if they do an amazing job, then paythem what they deserve, tips should augment their income, not be the sole benefactor. Second, tipping is optional. And to forceloyal customers to tip is a sure fire way to lose those loyal customers. We will not be returning to this establishment. Whichis a real shame. My 2 children were very sad to learn that their favorite restaurant treated us so poorly that we have toabandon it. Read more

The food was fresh and the waitress was awesome. It will be a destination point for us next time we are in the mood for this... type of food. Because this restaurant is in a prime location, they really should be a lot busier. I feel that if the outside ofthis restaurant were to be fixed up to look more inviting, that it would be doing a lot better. Read more
We love this place. Sushi is always so fresh, and the hibachi is fun. Be sure to grab the book by the register, it's an... autobiography of the owner and the history, very cool! Read more
House of Kobe is in my opinion the best sushi place around. For one, it's family owned and every single employee is always so... welcoming. Another is I believe that they have so much more variety of different sushi rolls, they got the usual ones you canget anywhere else and they also have a list of ones they made up their own and it is always so tasty and satisfying. Also evennon sushi items are always so delicious. The SHRIMP no matter what is always delicious if it's hibachi or sushi. I love theway their seafood is prepared, shared and always with care. This is a very friendly, clean, and well maintained family ownedbusiness and I am glad to always support this place!!! Read more
Food is usually good.. I got shrimp and tofu hibachi today and I'm really disappointed in the shrimp.. see image below. The... shrimp are not cleaned! Those dark lines there.. it's shrimp feces. I'm certain I didn't request feces in my combo... Read more
My second time at this restaurant... it was my Daughter's Birthday... the food was great and a they give a great portion size...... the chief was cool and entertaining! ... not any major concerns except for they took really long to refill our drinks. Read more
Been coming here since I was little. Best Japanese steakhouse. BEST YUM YUM sauce before it was even a thing.
