Pretty pricy, but the food and service were excellent. Definitely a good spot for a nicer date. Only gripes I had were the... booth wasn't the most comfortable, a bit too soft and the dining area was just a tiny bit too quiet to really have an involvedconversation without annoying your neighbor. Forgettable. We had dinner in the lounge on a slow evening. The grits in the shrimp and grits were way over-salted, the shrimp... was rubbery, the garnish of fried scallions was very tough and chewy, and when mixed in with the grits made the whole dishpretty inedible. The millionaire burger was very overcooked, dry, and not seasoned. The kid pasta and the zucchini fries weredecent. Service was okay. The white tablecloth could not save the experience. Read more
The restaurant, staff, and service is all fine?the food is not up to par. 3 out of 4 of us had the cream of crab soup, and it... was just terrible. I?ve never had anything like it, and it has no seasoning in it. None of us finished our soup. The crabcakes were nice lump crab meat, but have no taste. Besides adding some old bay to them, it needed more. I didn?t taste any oldbay in them actually, but it would have made them better. The salads were fine, just not what I?d expect from thisrestaurant?just very basic. The burgers and fries are ok, nothing special and not that impressed for what I thought they?d be. I use to frequent this cozy fine dining restaurant quite a bit . I went there again and was surprised with a Valentine's early... dinner I only came short of a 5 star service because in comparison the etiquette of being waited on and cordially from thoseyears have waned . One waitress with a busy schedule at 4pm. There wasn't even a butter knife for my rolls so what the heck , Ijust used my dinner knife. But food and ambience was excellent Read more
