Oh Wow! Hubby and I had a great meal! I had the Ariks crab cake grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (with apple butter... (whhhhat?!)) Omg that was so good! I had never thought of apple butter as a dipping sauce! I also had an apple cider Manhattan(that was super good too!) Hubby had the Reuben with Sourdough instead of marble Rye (I had a bite of it too!) Omg that wasdelicious! Our server (Brian...I'm pretty sure) super nice and knowledgeable. The only thing I thought was a bit weird waswhen I was waiting for the bathroom (the person who came out was a man, who worked there). That's kind of weird. Overall greattime tho! We will be back! Honestly, wife and I were pretty disappointed with the way our food tasted. It looked great but that was about it. My mussels... tasted fishy and didn't have the flavor of the dish. Her ribeye sub was over cooked and dry. We have had some good food fromRik's Cafe but tonight was not it for the price. Read more
Hello all! Today we have TWO wonderful Specials! Firstly, on the upper, we have a Shrimp and Chorizo Stuffed Filet over Mash and... Fried Brussels with a Cheese Sauce, Crispy Tortillas, and Mango Salsa! Came to Rik's on the recommendation of the owners of the Elmwood Farm B&B. Glad we did. Everyone on staff were friendly and... eager to serve, ensuring a pleasant experience. Great cocktail selection - I had the Dirty Local martini. Delicious. We splitthe Salmon Carpaccio. Wonderful balance of flavors, and yes that includes the arugula and spiced pita chips. Then I ordered theEpic Crab Grilled cheese, truly an epic sandwich. Wife had the Blackened Mahi Tacos, also delicious. Desserts were tempting andwe gave in to said temptation with the peanut butter cake. Wonderful meal. Yes, gem of a place in a strip shopping area. Traveling through and we used Google reviews to give this place a try. WOW...this place has great...great food and awesome... service. Even the owner Rik is great and had some great conversations about running (which my oldest interested in). I had aItalian Club sandwich (in pic) which had a little kick and was AMAZING along with house fries...mmmmm!! Highlyrecommend!! I love Rik?s Cafe! It?s really nice to frequent a restaurant where the waitstaff are always smiling and personable and the food... is tasty! I just recently moved to Hagerstown and I?m enjoying trying new places to eat, and Rik?s is becoming a regular go-to!The menu is ample with lots of assorted selections and the food tastes so fresh! It feels like a lot of love and care is putinto every dish! My friend and I had the Black Bean burger with hand-cut fries and it was delicious! I had the Cobb Salad priorand it was awesome! Great restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise. Located in a strip mall. The front of the building is pretty plain. Inside is well... done with a very large bar. Great selection of beers and wine. Great menu selections. I tried the braised beef ribs. They werevery good. Service was also very friendly and good. I would definitely recommend this place. Read more
