I have been dying to eat here for two years and two weekends ago I fulfilled this dream. Best seafood I have had in like... forever. I grew up in Maryland but have lived in Colorado for the past 30 years, so we are starved for good seafood here. I wasglad to break this fast at Schula's. The Margaritas and French Martinis were great, as were the appetizers. My meal was thecrab-smothered Ribeye steak, which I found exceptional--even in Colorado terms of "Steak". When I got back to Colorado, Ireverse-engineered this dish for myself, it was so good. I will be returning here during Thanksgiving week. Called two hours before arrival to make a reservation (yes, if a restaurant still has the service to accept reservations, I... will) and was extremely easy. As always, I love to throw wrenches into moving parts, so our 5 top turned into 9. They were happyaccommodate it for us and move the time by 15 minutes. Of course I arrive later than normal. Yes, we were the last table and yeswe came in an half an hour before they stopped serving. After working in restaurants and helping them for years, I expected somepushback or attitude. None at all. Immediately greeted upon entering the establishment by a friendly, fetching young lad. We were served by the lovely madam Donna... who was a treat! As the restaurant description states, everything and everyone here is ?straight-forward?. While I enjoyseafood, I don?t eat clams, oysters, or mussels. We had a great meal at Schula's. We started with the Muscles, which were served in a delicious broth. The bread is dangerously... delicious. Our drinks were kept full. The Ceasars salad was crisp and served in an oblong bowl. Our entrees of fried scallopsand stuffed flounder were really tasty, served hot and plated nicely. The waitress Donna was excellent, with just the rightamount of attention. She was always there when we wanted anything. Overall, a great dinner with excellent service in a niceatmosphere. Read more
We made a reservation last minute for a relatively large party and were greeted and treated very well! We had great food and... even better service all around from everyone. We had a mix of food from pastas, seafood and steaks and everyone was happy. Thenafter that we had a few desserts. Definitely we'll come back again. Read more
In town for a conference, and based on others reviews we took a chance. So glad we did! This was the best experience! Clam... chowder was absolutely some of the best I've ever had. We also had the calamari and crab cake. Delicious! I finished my lunchoff with the steak tacos. So good. And what more can I say. If you're looking for a place for lunch or dinner then here's anexcellent choice. ( The leftovers will be dinner the next day ????) Robin, our server, met us at the door.
