Live in Hale for a couple of years and finally stopped in I'm so glad I did! Great friendly atmosphere and they were making... waffle cones so it smelled wonderful. I was glad I knew what I wanted when I went in because I probably would still be theredeciding what to get I ordered 2 Oreo Hale storms as I got one for my husband and we both thought they were great- plenty oforeos mixed in yummy. I was also offered a sample of a "Dole Whip" which is non-dairy and gluten free and I was a little worriedabout an after taste but it was delicious probably going to get that next time. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and it'sjust a great place thank you!???????????????????????????????????? Read more

I first heard of The Victorian Cafe about a year ago and have been wanting to visit for a long time. My dream finally came true... yesterday when my friends and I stopped by for dinner on our way back to Ann Arbor from a trip to the UP. The inside of the cafehas just the right amount of warm lighting and is stylishly decorated with various antiques, shaping an environment that makesyou feel as if you are living in the Victorian era. The bookshelf in the corner housed many interesting books the read throughwhile relaxing here, reflecting the artistic sense of the owners. The staff here are incredibly friendly and efficient, providing me a pleasant ordering and dining experience. For food, I had a Reuben and a Victorian Club sandwich made withspecial Alward's bacon, both of which were delicious with crunchy bread on the outside and juicy meats and vegetables on theinside. To top it off, I had a refreshing blueberry milkshake made with fresh blueberries that complimented my meal. Overall,The Victorian Cafe is one of the best cafes that I have ever been to in my life. My experience there could almost be describedas "magical", almost as if I went on a trip to Narnia. I will definitely revisit anytime I have an opportunity to do so again. Read more

As I was driving back to Ann Arbor from a trip to the UP, I was craving a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon this quaint gem of... a cafe in the small town of Hale. After stepping inside, I was cordially embraced by the warm lighting and stylish interior. Therustic details of the environment transported me to the Victorian era itself. The friendly staff greeted me immediately, andwhen I saw the menu I was astounded by the plethora of choices, and a welcoming local assisted me by telling me their personalfavorites, and I can assure you they had great taste. The Reuben was phenomenal, and the strawberry shake was sweet and savory. If you?re looking to support a local small business owner, look no further than the Victorian Cafe. I will make it a priority tostop by every time I go back up north! Read more
