On the way back from Waimea Falls we stopped in Haleiwa to grab a quick bite of food. We opted for Big Wave Shrimp because of... reviews and the menu available. We tried the coconut shrimp, lemon pepper shrimp, steak plate and garlic butter shrimp. Everymeal was good! From young to old the 10 of us cleared our plates. It came out piping hot and quickly. I came here to visit shrimp trucks and was not disappointed at all. It is worth coming here from downtown to have the yummy... local food. This is right at the start of shrimp trucks. There are many more you can try. All lots come with $2 parking. Itshould not be missed by visitors. Read more
Unfortunately this place was a big disappointment. My husband and ordered the spicy shrimp and garlic shrimp meal. The entire... meal lacked taste, the rice was cold..but the salad was okay. Saw this place on Triple D and now I?m questioning Guys taste budsas our meal had no taste. I then thought, did they change the recipe? Probably not. The staff there were friendly but overallwas a big disappointment having drove from Waikiki and had to pay $2 for parking ..would not return. Giovanni's is closed on Wednesdays so we came here and were pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was great. The garlic... shrimp was of course, great, but don't sleep on the coconut shrimp or the calamari. Read more
Giovanni shrimp was closed so decided to give big wave a try. Got the garlic shrimp plate. Comes w salad and rice. No... complaints. Very tasty. I still think Giovanni shrimp is a little better. Read more
Moving forward I will only come here for shrimp! They have meat options. Comes with Toss salad. Seating area is nice and partly... shaded. Parking can be a little tight. That?s why we went a little later in the day. Best shrimp plate I had on the North Shore! Read more
