When I tell you that we called and asked if they could seat 34 people in a few minutes I was not expecting the answer to be yes.... Our rehearsal dinner was going awry and a family friend suggested Sandra's on the Park. They were able to let us into thebasement area within a few minutes of arrival, and we had our own little section to talk and mingle, as well as our own bararea! We also weren't expecting the food to come out as quickly as it did - since again they weren't planning on having so manyunexpected guests - but it did! The waitstaff was also kind, polite, and no one could tell it was two of their first week. Theywere all very professional. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced and my now husband and I's families had nothing butgood things to say. This is a restaurant I'd be happy to eat at again and I'd highly recommend reserving their basement foranother party in the future. Read more
We had a small dinner after my moms funeral and used the room downstairs. the food was excellent and so was the service. I... am so glad that I chose Sandras. We will definitely eat there again Read more
Mason the host was amazing. My dinner was okay. I had the BBQ ribs. Let's just say, missing meat! The waiter asked if I... would like a baked potato which I ordered. Now the baked potato was delicious but not for an additional $1.50. I always tryto give a positive review, MAYBE next time when I go back and try the fish fry. Read more
My wife and I went out to Sandra's on the Park with very high expectations. I have to say I was not impressed. We did like the... outside patio where we dined - which is very nice. Also, the staff was polite, so I don't blame the serving staff on theexperience. The issues were as follows. 1. Dirty wine glases - had previous lip prints on them. The server after our requestswapped them out...but it as very unexceptable by the bar personnel to send the glasses out from the get go. 2. My wife orderedFrench dressing on her salad...and received ranch. After the wine glass thing we left this go. 3. Ordered "Bacon wrappedscallops", which were extremely tough and hard to chew. Could have returned them....but dinner was already getting late. Mywife's filet was fine, actually very good. However the scallops were terrible. Yes, there are more expensive places to eat. Yetthis selection is not cheap for the customer. So to have a bad experience...especially when it was a dinning expectation youinitially were looking for. Was a total let down. Read more
Very nice experience! They bring out courses at a very interesting, slow pace which really let's you enjoy your meal and the... company you're with. No pressure to hurry and get out so they can turn tables. The host and server were very friendly andattentive without being overbearing. One of our group members ordered the haystack onion rings and the bacon-wrapped scallopsfor the table. I do not typically care for battered onion rings, but the chipotle ranch sauce made them VERY tasty. This wasthe first time I had ever eaten scallops and I was delighted. I have heard MANY different opinions over the years so I reallydidn't know WHAT to expect. Because they were purchased for us , I decided to bite the bullet and try one. They're a bit outof my price range to make them even a SEMI-regular item, but at least now I know. I chose the House Special for my dinner. Thesmall rack of BBQ ribs which came with toasted Vienna bread, coleslaw, and fries. "Small" rack. Sure. Longer than the ovalplate they were served on with the fries on a separate plate. The coleslaw and bread were served before as the dinner saladthat would be served with other meal choices. I like that. The ribs were delicious. Definitely "special." They wereflavorful and so tender they fell right off the bone. Portion size was enough to provide lunch for the next day, making thebossman jealous as I filled the suite with the smell while heating. I don’t like putting in bad reviews but this was something I felt needed to be said. This was a few weeks ago. My husband and... I love to try new places. We live around the area and had heard good things. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in ourvisit. We were the only couple of color that night. We did not feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The supervisor ormanager for the night made us feel like a burden when we asked for a table of 2. We were sat at the bar while they tried tofigure out seating for us. Even though half of the room was empty and never filled up as we were there most of the evening. Ourserve seemed more preoccupied with his other tables than with us as service took longer than expected. The food was subpar. Bothmy husband and I work in the food industry. The food we were served had the same look and taste of year one culinary studentshosting their first big dinner. Overcooked and bland with some sauce artfully thrown on the plate to make it look pretty. It wasa very disappointing first time visit. I hope the menu and the style of hospitality has improved. We walked in on a Sunday around 3pm and asked for a table, the lady who seemed in charge of seating arrangements gave us a weird... look. Definitely not the way to welcome customers & gave us a bad impression. However, we were glad we had somebody else show usto our table. I tried their old fashioned and I would definitely recommend! Not a good experience. Was rushed throughout our meal. She put the check down during our meal. I was eating still and she... cleared my husbands plate and asked if we wanted dessert While I was still eating dinner. Seriously?? I was rushed!!! Shedidn’t ask if we wanted more beverages when we had empty glasses. Now let me say this coming from an experienced person thathas worked in this industry for many years. Never rush your customers just to turn over tables for an xtra buck. I go out toenjoy my time off and fully expect a class act dining experience. Nothing less. We won’t return here because of the poorservice in what is clearly supposed to be a better upscale restaurant as it is displayed. I couldn’t enjoy my time forfeeling like we were a quick turnover.
