It had a bit of a touristy vibe which isn't a bad thing. The food was great, we just ordered their fish n chips since it was... highlighted as a house favorite. My wife and I hadn’t been to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company since before the pandemic so we were curious to see if anything had... changed. The good news is that it was even better than we remembered! We met up with a couple of our friends who were treatingsome overseas visitors to the classic Hwy 1 road trip, so there were eight of us overall. Our server handled our large tablewith ease, which was expected since the outside patio was mostly deserted on an early Tuesday afternoon. Food and drinks weredelivered quickly and all special requests were honored. We thought that everything on the menu was fairly priced. I thoroughlyenjoyed my blackened fish sandwich. The cod was moist and tender inside with just the right amount of blackening. The fries werecrisp, hot, and delicious. My wife ordered the seared Ahi tuna entree — a large cut of high quality fish coated with sesameseeds — which was seared perfectly rare. It was served with an egg roll, fresh avocado slices, and mixed greens. I don’tremember all the items that our table ordered, but everyone said that they were delighted with their food. This is a craftbrewery, so of course we had to order a couple of their artisanal beers on tap. My Mavericks Amber Ale paired nicely with thefish sandwich, and my German friend really liked his classic Kolsch which he described as “authentic for Oktoberfest”. Withso many restaurants struggling to survive the pandemic — especially small locally-owned places like this — it’s good toknow that the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is going strong. Read more

This place exceeded my already high expectations. The restaurant has great character with friendly staff and lots of outdoor and... indoor seating. Clam chowder was creamy and delicious. The truffle fries were to die for! Wasn’t too busy for a Saturdaylunch. Highly recommend. Read more

We had ordered beer samplers, long island iced tea, garlic bread, loaded nachos, hummus plate (had come with celery, carrots and... pita bread), fries and for dessert we had brownie with vanilla ice cream. Fries were extremely good. Would definitely recommendthat. Hummus was a bit thicker or there was something off with the consistency. Garlic bread was okaish. Wasn’t great alsowasn’t bad. We stopped by Half Moon Bay Brewing Company for lunch, and we are so glad we did! First, they have plenty of outdoor seating. Be... prepared though - some are not shaded if it is a hot day. There was also a wait on a Saturday afternoon, but you can walk aroundthe neighborhood and take in the ocean view while you wait. We were VERY impressed by the beer. I tried the blond lager withfruit and it was nice and light for a hot summer day. And the food was delicious for a brew pub! Definitely try the friedartichoke hearts. Great find today. Hostess listened when we wanted outdoor table with an umbrella. Friendly Waiter was busy and took care of all... the tables he was serving. They made the vegetable sandwich vegan for me and it was great. They even changed out the fries for aside salad. Started with a beer flight of 4 beers and they happily added 2 more that I wanted to try. All the staff was great. Read more

Food was awesome and if you want a traditional Cesar Salad, they've got anchovies! Food was tasty, had the fish tacos (grilled)... , oysters on a half shell, garlic fries, and the Cesar salad. A tad pricey, the oysters were $3.50 each and I don't reallylike paying more than $2.50 for mine but, they were delicious. Read more
