The views were breathtaking. Walking around the facility was very scenic. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight. The food... and service were horrendous. Our server could not keep track of anything we requested. The food was outrageously expensive. Thequality and portions were just terrible. The pricing was out of this world for what we received. To top it all off, they had afire going that blew ash all over our clothes, food, and our table. Read more
Great views! Food was mediocre. Both waitstaff asked us multiple times if we were ready for dessert; however we had not even... received our dinner yet. Friendly staff, but was not attentive or professional. I would not recommend this restaurant for justthe views. The reason for this is because it isn?t too hard to find a great restaurant with great views of Kachemak Bay. We hadbeen previously recommended The Saltry by many folks and were excited to share this experience with visiting family; however, wewere very disappointed. Read more

We got lucky when there was a cancelation for the Danny J ferry and the Salty today. It was a very nice boat ride and visit to... Halibut Cove. We had coffee and chowder with a loaf of bread at the restaurant. The boat staff and waitstaff were all great. I'mglad we did this. Read more

What a lovely experience! Board the Danny J for a beautiful ride across the bay to a boardwalk village. Walk the boardwalk and... peruse the artwork in the most adorable shops. Dine at the Saltry, where every ingredient and element is a treat, from theoysters and appetizers to the Halibut and the desserts. The drinks are on point and the service is the best I've seen. We werehere ten years ago for our Alaskan honeymoon adventure, and returned for our 10th anniversary. The Saltry is consistentlyoutstanding! Read more
We?ve had multiple visits and we?ve always had excellent food & service. As for the views and setting, just look at the posted... pictures. After dining, go for a walk, visit the Art Galleries, view the lagoon. Very worth the visit. Read more
