We have been traveling up the east coast and other places have said that they had the best lobster rolls, but these were the... best lobster rolls we have tasted! The seasonings were so complementary to the lobster! The bread was toasted to perfection!Thank you Roger for chatting with us. It was truly delightful. I finally made it to the latest and greatest incarnation of Cafe Chianti, and it did not disappoint. The floor to ceiling... windows take advantage of the waterfront location to provide beautiful views of the harbor and George's Island. The decor iscontemporary, and despite the relative fullness of the restaurant when I was there, it was not overly loud so it was easy tohave a pleasant conversation. The service was great, and the pacing between appetizers, entrees, and dessert was perfect. Thereare several items on the menu that are either vegetarian, or can be made vegetarian. I had the roasted garlic pappardellewithout the chicken and it was delicious. My dinner companion had the ravioli, and she likewise had rave reviews. All round itwas a very pleasant experience. Outstanding service and food. Had a special alfresco event for 21 people at Cafe Chianti August 2022 with a quiet location by... the harbour. Kristy Sutherland is general manager extraordinaire! Special thanks to Kristy for working tirelessly. Class act allthe way. She made sure we were happy from everyone aspect. We had garlic shrimp, fried calamari in sauce and pizza for appetizerand we had a selection of mains from steak frites (AAA tenderloin), seafood linguine (fresh from the sea) and the best bakedhalibut and mashed potatoes. Dessert was outstanding especially the tiramisu! Better than some from Italy! Great selection ofwines and beer (we had the house rose). Great New Waterfront Eatery The new Pub located at the end of the cruise ship terminal and attached to the Cafe Chianti is well... worth a visit. We were there for lunch about a month after the Pub's opening and were impressed with the quality of the foodand the very friendly atmosphere and service. The P.E.I. Mussels were perfectly done and served with a tasty garlic buttersauce - there must have been 20 or 25 of them in the bowl. The Fish and Chips were just what you want and expect in thistraditional pub dish. The batter was light and crispy and the chips were spot on. The six beer taps included a good variety ofoptions. We had the Stella Artois and Garrison Irish Rose (a local craft beer). Give this new place a try - you will be gladyou did. Read more
Such an amazing experience! Fabulous atmosphere, incredible staff, insanely delicious food, what more can I say? We stumbled... upon this place and wanted to stop in for a drink. Although they didn’t open for a half hour the very generous general manageroffered us a patio table. This incredible customer service prompted us to come back 2 hours later to celebrate our anniversary.Our server (both times) Madison S was FABULOUS. It was a beautiful sunny day and saw the new location at the Seaport farmers market. Thought it would be a good spot to stop in... for a bite since we saw a bunch of empty tables in the patio section. I had heard good things about the spot and it looked likean awesome spot on a sunny day. We went to line up to be seated, this is where everything went downhill. They seated the oldercouple in front of us after he had stood there for a good 5 minutes waiting.( They didn't acknowledge we were there or tell usthat they would get back to us so we just stood there waiting for the hostess or anyone to either tell us they were fully bookedand not to wait) It took them another 5 minutes for them to come around and ask us what we wanted. The hostess walks away andsays she is checking on a table for us. When she comes back ( 3 mins later) she asked us if we had a reservation. We said no,then she says that they can't take anyone that isn't a reservation because they are full. ( which she could have said 10 minutesago when we were standing there waiting to be seated) as we walk away the group behind us asked for a table as well, Then weover hear her asking " dining room or bar?" to which we are left shocked because they just turned us away saying we didn't havea reservation. not sure if it's just under staffed, not trained or what it was that day but definitely not a good experiencenor good service. Excellent service and delicious food! We had the arancini and calamari as an appetizer and both were delicious! Our mains came... out hot and tasted so good, we couldn’t leave a crumb on the plate. Service was great and very professional! 10/10 wouldrecommend coming here, for any occasion! Read more
