The lobster roll is delicious and I understand the $29 is tourist price which is acceptable. They charged $6 for tip which I... find ridiculous as there is no service rendered for a take out. Must as well go to some restaurants along the wharf. I fullyunderstand there is Government tax and will not be mixed up with tips. Government tax is not an issue here. I was given awhite terminal to swipe my card. I do not have an option on whether to give the 20% tip. Went when market price was $29. Got 2 lobster rolls. Bread was amazing (worth a mention) and the lobster was delicious. Didn?t... wait too long and only recommendation is that the portion was a little bigger. Read more

I?ve been dying to try Dave?s Lobsters infamous Lobster Rolls! I ordered the ?Fancy Roll? and it didn?t disappoint! Sooo... delicious! Although other reviews say they had to wait a while for their lobster ???? roll, I got it relatively fast. I got the half and... half, it was $29 plus tax and came with a bag of chips. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the price and value. Understand thatlobster is expensive but the rolls at Tom?s Lobster Shack in Peggy?s Cove was very delicious and slightly cheaper in price ($26I believe that time) and a bit bigger with fresh made chips and other delicious drinks and sides. Expensive, but it's a touristy spot so it's an experience you're paying for! The rolls are delicious and you get to eat them... while enjoying the view (we saw a dolphin). Covered bridge chips & a pickle come with your order. Read more

Good lobster. I have had better. Extremely overpriced. Wonderful atmosphere right by the harbour. I love downtown Halifax.

I have to say this is the go to place for a melt in your mouth lobster roll, price is average I would say as lobster is not... cheap, plus you truly get what you pay for at this little place on the harbour, they also include a free bag of chips, which isa nice touch. I will go back on future visits to Halifax in the summer. My only regret was not taking a picture as I could notwait to dive in to what in my opinion was the BEST lobster roll I?ve ever had. How could you go wrong with a lobster roll thathas chunks of claw meat in it. The wait time is normal I feel, as they are made to order & its only a small building on theharbour & it was very busy the day I was there. I had the half fancy & half regular lobster roll, both halves were melt in yourmouth delicious, however the fancier half was above & beyond to die for delicious.
