I went with a large group of eight adults and two kids. We made a reservation of only 7, but they allowed us to add the extra... people and arranged an extra table despite being so busy. The service was amazing. The food was good, especially the SmokedSalmon and Lobster Egg Benedict. The Halifax Egg Benedict was just okay, because I didn't like chowder instead of hollandaisesauce. We have been faithful customers of Elle's since we discovered it 6 years ago when we moved from out west. The food is always... absolutely amazing, and we love supporting a local family owned and operated restaurant. They are family friendly, we have avery young child, and they have always been welcoming and understanding if she's had big feelings while we wait for our food.The portions are great, and my husband who eats more than most always walks away full. You also can't beat the value for moneyyou get when eating here. Elle's is much requested by our family when they come to visit. We've taken everyone here and they nowask if their weekend can start with brunch at Elle's once they arrive. Honestly, we've never felt the need to go anywhere elsefor our brunch fix because the food here is SO good. We usually book a reservation ahead of when we want to grab brunch, asthere is usually a wait for a table ( the sign of a good restaurant in my books) but when we stop in for a spur of the momentadventure, it's always been worth the wait. Friendly service, great food, budget friendly, and you're getting to support local,you can't really ask for much more. If you're looking for a great brunch place this is the spot you want to be! It was our first time here, and we did have a good time! The servers were super nice and patient, especially we were there with... a baby. They set up the baby chair for us and made sure we were comfortable. The food we got were egg Benedicts, steak andeggs, French toasts and some sides. The steak and eggs I got was super tasty, and they had the onions and mushrooms on the topof the steak, which was definitely a plus. I also love their home fries and eggs, just felt the steak was a bit too small. Myfriends all enjoyed their meals, but it would be nice if there?s some seasoning for the home fries. Absolutely delicious breakfast. Hollandaise is my love language so I was pretty happy when I tested theirs. The portions are... huge and the prices are much lower than you would expect. Cute ambiance and the music selection when we were there was a real90s vibe and we were feeling it. LGBTQ friendly and the staff were helpful and attentive. Looking forward to trying lunch! Read more

What a wonderful start to our first morning in Halifax! The food was delicious. Everything had been cooked with just the right... amount of flavour so that breakfast was tasty! The coffee was amazing. And my personal favourite was the pancake, have never hadsuch a fluffy one before. The service was wonderful, with servers who were kind and patient. Would recommend to all!
