One day saw an ad about this place, as soon as we got a day off went to this restaurant and it was closing at 8:20pm on Thursday... night. I was thinking that we might didn?t check the hours of operation, but no. They just decided to close earlier and didn?tlet us in. Read more
Went there with my girls for dinner,the lounge was empty,there was literally no one.The staff seemed to be in a hurry to close... the place.We had called before going in,so I don?t understand why they would keep open and not cater properly to the onecustomer group that bothered coming to their restaurant and then want to close in a rush.The veg food was good but the tandoorichicken was terrible. Sura responded back and I appreciate their prompt note and the fix they have provided. Restaurants that take customer feedback... and make adjustments accordingly I value as they are listening, acknowledging and adjusting their practices. This customer willstill be visiting Sura Lounge & Bar, and although the rating on this complaint was 1 star previously, their practice ofresponding and reacting, gives them a 5 star in my books! My original complaint: "Being one of the more expensive joints to getIndian food or Indian fusion food in Halifax, they recently changed containers for one of their items (Hakka Noodles) and theystill charge the same ridiculous price for it. I order regularly so this was quite a surprise. The restaurant first tried tonote that they hadn't changed the containers and after understanding how well I know the dishes I purchase regularly, theyadmitted they changed containers because it was cheaper but the quantity was the same. It wasn't as we tried it in the samecontainer for another item we ordered. Dishonest practices of this nature are sad to see from a local restaurant." Read more
