Classic pub experience, waiter wad the manager and comp'd extra cheese on our nachos in place of a meat option. Very appreciated... as a vegetarian and made for a great meal. I always get the fine company blonde, also a classic lager. Great place for casualmeet ups or a quick beer Read more

Very SLOW. Sunday evening, the place was certainly not packed. Took over an hour to put in our order and recieve our first... appetizer. The menu was super small to begin with and 4 of the options were unavailable. Upon receiving our first appetizer, wethought they forgot about our second appetizer. We received our main meal then half way through our meal, our second appetizercome out. Was not overall happy with the place at all. Read more

Looks like a neat place. Got there at 6:30. Was immediately told on walking in that they "don't allow noisy kids after 7." So we... took that as our hint to leave with our 11 month old. She wasn't noisy, and there is probably a better way to tell us about thatrule instead of the abrupt manner they did. We wouldn't have gone if we had known, just thought we would put it here for otherparents looking for a restaurant with power after a hurricane. Read more

I went there twice. Nothing special. Halifax bars are ultra corrupt when you consider the fact that places are allowed to ban... you for zero valid reason at all. Even if you haven?t caused problems at a certain establishment, they tend to label and judgeyou as if you?re a bad person based on what they?ve heard. I?m seriously thinking of talking to the mayor or whoever is incharge of bars in the city and such legislation and getting it changed. It?s beyond unreasonable and not the way to treat peoplewho might just happen to have Autism, and treat them as if they?re a bad apple. The only reason why I?m not ranking it a 1, isbecause almost every other bar downtown operates in the same manner and I?m sick and tired of it. A change must be made for howHalifax bars operate. The culture, the aggression, bars being allowed to act with impunity, playing the judging and labellinggame, it all needs to stop. Read more

the privileged location in downtown. Apparently it is an iconic place. The service of the waitress who attended me was terrible... because all the dishes I ordered were brought and the order was taken by other waiters. To be lunch time the bathrooms weredisgusting I don't want to imagine at 10pm. the waitress was not professional she treated my son rude. Read more

True iconic pub feel when you walk in the door. Went for drinks and live music and was not disappointed!! Drinks were great and... reasonably priced compared to the Boardwalk. Band was decent but hey any live music is fun. Our server, Sadie was exceptionaland get 5 stars on her own for weaving the crowed with trays of drinks, friendly and super helpful with things to do in thearea. its a must stop if your in town for the night or week. Cheers or like they say in Halifax Sociables!! Read more

My first time back in a while and it was just like I remembered. Great selection of drinks our server Pat the Ninja really took... care of us and had great suggestions, our app platter was perfect just the right amount for sharing. We still wanted to havemore drinks and Pat made sure we knew where to go! Read more
