Know one thing before coming to this place: It?s a BAKERY. The food isn?t the frontline product and my first time eating there I... understood why immediately. In the past we only got desserts. The desserts and natural juices are great. My churrasco steak andmy wife?s eggs and toast was the worst Cuban food we?ve ever eaten. Utterly disgusting and disappointing. And the total tab was$40. (Not much but certainly too much for the small portions and poor quality). Recommendation is a HARD ?NO? for me. Read more

Clean, polite and good quality pastry and food. I love their pastelitos de Carne when they are warm and fresh. That is key... however. The cafe con leche oscuro is really good. Together the combo is dynamite! Read more

I just ate the Churasco Sandwich about 5 minutes after purchase and this is what I have to say about this sandwich and this... restaurant. It had good flavor. That?s it. THE ENTIRE SANDWICH MADE ME REGRET LIVING IN THIS STATE. Who decides to make a steaksandwich, cook the steak well done and leave the entire piece on the sandwich. Off the first bite you take the entire steak outthe sandwich and now you have to eat the sandwich in pieces like a savage. I was too angry to eat the second half. This sandwichalone is making me move back to NY. Save yourself the patience and never get this sandwich ever. Read more

I love Cao Bakery, which I always visit at it's different locations. This time at the Hallandale Blvd. one, I think Manuel needs... a little more training. I ordered a cafecito with the regular sugar, and he gave me waay to little coffee with no sugar at all,I asked him to make a new espresso and he put way too much sugar this time and barely stirred the espresso. I know he was byhimself and there was another person waiting, but even in that situation, you need to make sure you do your things the rightway, so customers can leave happy. I work in a hotel coffee shop, so I know for sure this is possible. Also, I asked him whatflavor was one of the small muffins and he told me blueberry...and it was nutella. I like nutella and I ate it anyways but..Ithink its also important he knows the flavors. What if I hate nutella? Anyways, I know he's a good kid, just needs a little moretraining ???? I've ordered online twice from this location and had 2 very different experiences, which is why I put 3 stars. Service The... first time I went to pickup on 5/7/22, 2 men were idly chatting behind the counter and didn?t even acknowledge that we werewaiting at the pickup order. We waited several minutes and finally had to signal to have someone help us. Today 5/29/22 Manuelimmediately acknowledged when I walked in the door. The order was missing an item and the flan sauce had spilled out of thecontainer as he handed it to me, so he addressed the issue right away, switched the flan that had spilled, and gave me a freshbag. He was very kind and attentive. Food Cheesecake flan, regular flan, & pastelitos were excellent. Website (for entirefranchise) The website only shows pictures but gives no description of the food. Furthermore, it allows you to purchase itemsthat aren't even sold at some locations. I had to get an equivalent item for what I paid. I was told that this location hadaddressed this with the franchise but no updates to the website have been made. Food descriptions and customized menus for eachlocation would better serve customers. We?ve ordered here a couple of times through the drive thru. Baked goods are good but we?ve had our order get mixed three times... already with either wrong items or missing items. Last time the cheese and guava tequeños we ordered tasted a little old andnot fresh so that was disappointing. Service is always great though and people are very friendly but they need to make sureorders are correct. Read more

My friend brought me here to try the Cuban baked goods. We got Cuban coffee, a sampler plate of baked good, and a Cuban... sandwich. Everything we got were delicious. I will have to come back again and try other items in the store. The staff wasfriendly and service was quick. Read more
