I give this place all the stars because I love coming here and the food is very good. I live in New Jersey and was only in Maine... for a couple days. There is a specific item on the menu that I only get when I'm here that I was absolutely set on getting. Thewebsite says open but the door reads that your closed for two days for maintenance to which I'll be home by then. It would havebeen nice to have been updated online so I didn't come and completely get my hopes up. My daughter and I had a great lunch. She had shepherd pie and I had fish and chips. The food was like comfort food, and the... atmosphere was delightful. Everyone was attentive with a smile. I will return again. Thank you for a lovely experience. Read more
Check your meals. I know accidents can happen but this was totally unacceptable. There was this in my husbands meal today. A lug... nut they said off their frying machine: He did not notice it until he was almost done with his meal because it kind of blendedit. The waitress did not even really apologize for it and did not comp our meal at all. We had two young children with us and ifthat was in their food they could?ve choked on it and the story could?ve been a lot worse. Good vibe. Their beer was solid, with their Bug Lager (that is actually a pilsner) being a standout. Build your own bloody mary... was a nice touch (see pic). Service was painless, Samantha our server was excellent. Bathroom was clean. Overall nothing but net& we can easily recommend. Cheers! Read more
UPDATE: Great food! Love the Summer Wheat. Pot roast was excellent, as were the beer battered clams and the small portion... Fish & Chips! Excellent. Thank you! May family has come here a few times over the years, and we have the same experience each time. The staff is nice, but the food... takes forever. The waitress this past time gave out bags of pretzels to hold us over after assuring the food was being platedfor over half an hour. The food took well over an hour in total from when we ordered. According to my family, the food was finebut nothing exceptional. Read more
This restaurant was suggested by a friend. Great beer list got to love the dark beer. I ordered the meatloaf dinner that didn't... let me down. The vegetable was a pureed squash. We ate outside on the patio that allows us to watch the traffic go by. Read more
