A classic summer stop: George's has all the expected items and then a few extras. Call ahead for take-out and you'll have smooth... sailing. Fry servings are generous and they even package up the Texas Sauce to keep from sogging up your items en route. Staffwere friendly and accommodating even near closing time. Read more
Pretty pricy for a quick bite to eat. Parents and I took all the kids last year for a lunch. There was 8 of us. We all got a... hamburger or a dog, a few orders of fries to share, a couple pops and I think maybe 4 milkshakes and the bill was well north ofa hundred to a hundred and fifty bucks if my memory serves me correct. To be honest I left hungry and ate something else a shorttime after. Think I had a dog and shared some fries with a pop. I don't know, like it does have that nostalgic feel to it but weonly go maybe once a year of that due to how expensive it is vs. what your actually getting. I know 8 people sitting down for ameal you thinking hey what do you expect but.. it's dogs and burgers?? For that kind of price we really should have just got 2packs of 3lb shalens hot dogs, a pack of fresh burgers from the market and saved ourselves 60 or so dollars if not more.Probably not coming back anytime soon especially with the economy the way it is now. Not sure who can really afford a meal formore than a few people. There is that and the food was just kind of average, not really to stand out to make you feel like yourgetting a lot of value for your money. It wasn't a bad meal but it wasn't anything that will stick out in your head begging youto come back. All in all it's an average roadside type stand, average food but with a high price tag. This was my first time at this restaurant. Excellent food and quaint,friendly atmosphere. I had Texas hots with a small order of... fries and a order of onion rings. Unique tasting Texas hot, I'm not sure what it was (maybe hickory taste) still very good. Ithought the small fry would be smaller so I also ordered onion rings. I was wrong, small fries are definitely shareable. Fryeroil was very minimal and you could tell it was clean. I will most definitely be returning numerous times. Read more
One of my absolute favorite places! A childhood memory turned into a place I got to multiple times a summer. Their food is... always so good! My favorite is the open chicken souvlaki is SO GOOD and the dill dressing is incredible you could eat it with aspoon. The onion rings and fries are great too! Everything is great!
