We were drawn in by the gluten free options for my wife and have been here twice so far. The entire menu is gluten free... including desserts with the only exception being the chicken and waffles which is prepared separately. The staff are veryfriendly and knowledgeable. The food quality is incredible and locally sourced. Both times we’ve been here we stayed afterdinner and watched the sunset over the lake which almost feels like key west on a warm night. The shrimp nachos and poutinefries have been two of our favorites! Read more

Soy and gluten-free diner here. Thank you for a spectacular dinner this evening on your patio before the thunderstorms struck.... The jambalaya was spicy and the hanger steak was medium-rare! Thank you to your hostess who graciously accommodated ourrequest for an outdoor table so my 6 year-old Siberian Husky, Juneau Elizabeth, could join us. Wife and I went here for Valentine’s Day. They had a special menu so we can’t comment on the regular menu. Some of the... reviews note the dish size being small but ours were plenty. That goes for the appetizer, both main courses and the dessert.Everything is also gluten free in addition to having amazing vegan options. Service was excellent and everything was preparedlike a work of art. It wasn’t busy as we had the first seating when it opened so the food also came out quickly. We can’twait to go back! Read more

Gorgeous view! I enjoyed a lovely meal last night with some girlfriends. My first time at Lago and I’ll definitely come... back. Menus are on QR code’s. Plenty of great wine, beer and cocktail choices. The food is presented as small plates and isgreat for sharing with friends. I chose the coconut scallop special with cheesy grits, fresh blackberries and pesto. It waspretty good. The sweetness of the coconut was a nice accent to the scallops and the blackberries were fresh and added a nice popto the meal. The grits were cooked well and weren’t overly cheesy so they didn’t clash or overpower the rest of the meal.The scallops were cooked pretty well they could have used a little more of a sear on the outside. My only comment here is thatit was $28 for this plate and I’d consider it a large snack. I’m not one to complain about price or portion if it’squality. But this is a higher end restaurant price for a major city, not what you usually see in Buffalo. For that price I’dlike a meal that fills me up. There were 3 decent sized scallops on the plate and not a lot of grits. I think extra grits and aveggie of some sort would make this more into a $28 dish. Good service. They were helpful and not at all pushy. If theyweren’t sure about something they were happy to find out and get back to you quickly. There are indoor and outdoor seatingoptions. The outdoor seating is superb for the view. They need to walk around their outside patio and fill in the holes in theconcrete. Some chairs cannot sit even on the ground because of the divots made in the concrete. There are also fire pitsavailable for rent for a group beach fire experience. Bonus. Their entire menu is gluten free or can be easily adjusted to meetthis dietary requirement. Read more
Enjoyed a nice brunch on the patio, great view and ambience outside. Service was friendly and helpful. Many gluten free options... which is a very exciting find for brunch! Tried the biscuits and gravy which were well seasoned and the poached egg was cookedperfectly. The chicken and waffles were very good with a nice selection of dipping sauces. The waffles were sweet but notoverpowering, the chicken was tender and flaky. Heads up, the waffles are not gluten free but the chicken is. On the negativeside, there was a small hair in the meal. And if sitting outside be prepared for some bees and flies. Overall, a pleasant diningexperience and I will be back again! Read more
Amazing Experience & phenomenal level of hospitality. Hosted a wedding shower here on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon & was just... perfect. Amanda was very accommodating and made sure every detail was covered. Communication was great and the entire processwas super enjoyable.
