Looking for some vegan Chinese food? Don't bother! Someone here has reviewed vegan options at Hop poh and thought they were... good. We stopped by tried almost all of them in hopes to find a place that makes some good Chinese veggies with tofu. Oh boy wewere so wrong. The only good thing about this food that it's cheap at $9 a takeout container with rice. In fact, rice was theonly well made item. Veggies were overcooked, tofu deep fried and hard to chew and bland. Worse Chinese I ever had, the chicken was so over cooked I couldn?t even stab it with a fork, it was so hard. Went right in the... trash. This is the second time we tried this place and today is the last. Hop Poh Chinese Restaurant is located in Hamburg Pennsylvania. I visited there on the last day of spring in 2018. I was the... only one there, looked over the menu, but decided to leave because the dining area is not air conditioned. There was similarsituation at a restaurant in Orwigsburg later that day and I walked out of that place too. It?s hot outside and I want to dinein comfort. She was so rude! They stingy with the sauce too. They gave me 3 platters with 3sauces and when I asked for more she threw 3 at... me. One meat in the meal had no sauce and the other meat sauce didn't make sense. That wasn't sweet nor sour! It's like whatever they had they had that day. Portions size left me hungry. No lunch rush so what took so long? $30 and wasn't worth it. Read more
