You expect a Mexican restaurant to serve somewhat decent Mexican food and drinks. Spoiler alert, you'll get better quality food... at Chipotle. Probably one of the worst margaritas I've had and there was top-shelf blanco tequila in it. The burrito hardlypassed as edible with a small spit of rice and beans on the side. To top it all off, we couldn't even get our table cleaned off.Never again.. Read more

Stopped along our hike for drinks and apps. The Santa Fe Egg Rolls were perfect as were the margaritas. Sat outside on a... beautiful day, and had the best server. I suggest ignoring reviews during COVID period. Every restaurant was challenged. Read more

My wife and I ate here for the first time on Monday 13 June. There are a few Mexican food restaurants in our area but, when we... walked in the atmosphere was immediately relaxed and inviting. We each order the "street tacos". My wife and I were veryimpressed by not only the quantity of the food and the presentation but, the quality and the flavors. Our server was veryengaging, pleasant and available, although not hovering. The ONLY reason I didn't rate this 5-stars is because we want toreserve that until we have tried more of their menu items. I am pretty sure we will not be disappointed. Read more

honestly very disappointing! as someone who enjoys eating out at mexican restaurants, this one is by far the worst i?ve ever... had. for starters, it is a mexicali type cuisine. if you want something close to the genuine thing i would go to either puertovallarta in orange/milford or toritos in north haven. the inside is very tight. the tables are close together, and it only seemslike they have limited tables inside. the atmosphere is not cute as the bar and dining area are not separate. you are closetogether so it?s like everyone could hear your conversation. it took a while to be waited on. the waiter seemed to be runningeverything himself (poor guy). as for the food itself, just awful. i ordered the steak fajitas and you can choose from any 3sides: i chose rice, beans and guacamole. at any other restaurant, they would bring you your plate of rice and beans, but theygave me this small bowl filled with boxed goya rice that tasted awful and bland, and they practically mixed my beans in it! thesteak in the fajitas had a funky smell to it, and since i was eating it with the tortilla, veggies and guacamole i did notrealize until after that it may have been spoiled. they give you a small portion of meat, and most of it is practically just fatand burnt. again, very disappointing :( i do not recommend this place. i give it 2 stars for the fries my mom had with herburger Read more

Haven't been here in years. But with limited options available after our hike at 2pm on a Monday we decided to go here for... lunch. Couldn't be happier, the service was great. Amazing lady behind the bar took care of us. The street corn is some of thebest, I could eat it every day. The quesadilla could've used some more cheese, and flavor could've been better on something'sbut nothing a little salt n pepper couldnt help with. I would definitely go here again maybe after some golf or a hike. Read more

The view and atmosphere is phenomenal. We ordered an enchilada plate with three enchiladas rice and beans. We sat on the patio... and the service was just ok. We might have sent it back but the waitress didn't come back soon enough. The rice was notstandard Mexican rice. It was just boiled rice with some flavoring. The chef was probably not trained in authentic Mexicancooking. The pinto beans were flavorless and so thick it was like unflavored no salt or fat refried beans. The beef enchiladathe meat was kind of rubbery. The salsa had no onions garlic cilantro or salt. It was just tomatoes and a large chunks ofchopped jalapenos or poblano peppers. The chips were flavorful but quite thick and hard. The tomatillo sauce was quite spicy asif there were ground up jalapenos in it. It was the worst tomatillo sauce I've ever had and I have eaten Mexican food all overSouthern California and all the upscale Mexican. Restaurant chains. So, the Pepsi was outstanding. The view is terrificoverlooking the golf course and Sleeping Giant. The inside decor is great, it's a great location and very Mexican looking butthis is probably a good place to go if you are NOT hungry and just want a beer or beverage. I am sorry to write such a negativereview but if the owner sees this and wants to hire someone as a food consultant I know someone who is available and they cancontact me through this post. Read more
