This new place takes forever to make orders!!! The people up front work on orders for the front and drive thru! It makes no... sense!!!! Why can?t the service be better!? This Starbucks used to be very good about a decade ago, it has really gone down in management and quality. They are always out... of items like bakery cakes and Frappuccino drinks unlike their counterparts in nearby towns like West Haven. The multiple timesthat I?ve ordered lattes or Frappuccino?s from them, they?ve tasted gross, it?s like they haven?t properly trained their staffon how to make drinks and what quantity of each ingredient to use. This is about the new location in Hamden Plaza, which opened in Nov 2022, next door to the old location. This store is laid out... in Starbuck's new design, similar to the North Haven and Wallingford stores. However, while a little bigger than the old store,it's a little cramped compared to Wallingford and North Haven. But the main problem is one whole wall is glass and facesdirectly South, and the afternoon sun is brutal. They have translucent shades which mitigate the problem a little, but most ofthe tables are along the wall so if you're trying to do some work while you enjoy your latte, the sun is right on your computerscreen. Also the music is a little too loud and annoying to be conducive to productive work. Read more
