These are the best Fish & Chips in Hamilton and with the best service to match! The fish is always perfectly cooked with the... perfect crisp to the batter. The fries are always a generous serving and you must get their awesome gravy and I also highlyrecommend their onion rings too. The coleslaw is rich and creamy perfection. Wow, amazing fish and chips. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with some of the friendliest people. Order was ready pretty... quick. Fish was flakey and crispy. Full of flavour. Fries were also amazing. My only 'issue' is that there wasn't any coleslawin the bag. Not sure if that's something that's extra (most places give you a snack sized portion), or if it was forgotten?Regardless, not a huge deal. Food was amazing ???? Read more
My first time at this restaurant and I was pleased with just about everything! My son recommends this place highly and was... excited, because today, September 1, is when they start serving chowder. Naturally, my son ordered the chowder and it was thebest clam chowder I have ever had in Canada! The fish was lightly battered and moist. I just wish it was a little crispier but Iknow how tricky cooking fish can be. You overcook it and you come up with dry and rubbery result. Their fries were absolutely amust try! Thick with a great bite. I may be wrong, but they seemed freshly-cut and prepared in house. Their home-made tartarsauce was a nice addition to the fish. The place was clean and the lady that waited on us was very pleasant, and so was the chefwho brought us part of our meal. Overall, my first experience was great and this will definitely be a place worth going backfor. Go get some chowder while in season?September 1 to April, so I've been told! It?s hard to find good fish and chips so I keep looking! This is a no frills restaurant offering take out or eat in. I chose... to get take out and saw in store that they had lots of specials. The menu has lots of options! The staff were very friendly andI got my order quickly. I ordered the haddock n chips and I also bought the whitefish and chips. It took about 20 min to gethome and the haddock fish was not as Crispy but that?s understandable. The whitefish was still crispy (big piece).
