Terrific! The service was very friendly. Questions answered and tips about menu items and where they came from, and when, given.... Love this menu, it's emphasis on Canadian sourced food, local if possible. I had the Yukon Elk burger - they happily substitutedthe blue cheese for goat cheese at my request - and fries, and my wife had the Georgian Bay Fish Sandwich with salad. Absolutelydelicious and we both dug into each others sides as the fries and the salad were top notch too. For the food offered, elk, lamb,wild duck, scallops, mussels - the prices are very affordable, especially compared to other places I looked at in Hamiltonbefore deciding on The North Fork. I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. As out of town guests with a large party, finding a restaurant last... minute was challenging. The folks at The North Folk were more then accommodating for our group. From the moment we arrived towhen we left, we were treated with some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. The chef personally came out toexplain the farm fresh menu items and why some may be sold out - which was professional and much appreciated. Our server wasengaging, prompt, and delivered whatever we needed. The chef came out before we left and was excited to explain the uniquenessabout the bottle of wine we ordered. We were blown away by the staff’s attention to detail and passion which clearly rubbedoff on their guests. We had multiple allergies in our group and the kitchen made it their duty to re-work any menu items tocreate a delicious meal for those who needed accommodating. The quality of food spoke for itself. The meal was fresh anddelicious with a clean presentation. The steak I ordered was prepared better than at most steak houses i’ve been to. 10 of 10people in out party were beyond satisfied with their meals (and if you’ve dined with a larger party you know how rare that canbe). The best restaurant I have ever visited. Service was immaculate, food was beautiful and tasted wonderful. The wonderful chef... actually came to the table multiple times explaining things. Server was so kind when we asked for a good place to go party afterdinner. He actually pulled up a map and gave us directions to hot spots. Locally sourced too! This is SO sad. During the height of Covid19 The North Fork was our “Go To” for fresh and tasty comfort food of high... quality. We don’t know what’s happened. We watched their rating steadily decline from 4.8 to 4.1 on Uber Eats. We saw aFish and Chip special Today. We added a piece of fish. That including delivery tip cost $27. Look at how this wasdelivered. It looks like beige slop. Coleslaw = TON of onions and very little cabbage, carrots. Over dressed and just ploppeddown. Not in a separate container and 2 Tablespoons is considered a “side”. French Fries = Soggy. Sad. No seasoning. Fish =More Batter than Whitefish. Again no seasoning. Delivery Driver = Wrong House. No Communication. New. Didn’t Care. Didn’tApologize. It’s SO sad. We loved their mussels special and were working our way through their menu. But, we noticed in theearly spring their delivery service started messing up orders. Now the food is just as bad. We will not order again. Nor willwe ever eat inside their restaurant either. I can’t say enough great things about my experience at the North Fork! The food and service was amazing. We had the... bruschetta, fish and chips, elk burger with Parmesan fries, and a chicken club with vegetables. Emma was an amazing server. Youshould definitely check out the North Fork! Chose this place on a whim. We went early so it wasn't busy or anything, the service was great, very welcoming. I had the steak... fries medium rare and I was very impressed with my meal. It was a slow night for the restaurant, and having never been here before I was optimistic with what to expect. Our server was... fantastic. He engaged us in conversation throughout our meal and made us feel welcome . I thoroughly enjoyed my Elk burger.Added wild boar bacon to it....just delicious. Warm atmosphere; had the chance to meet one of the owners on my first visit (I've since been back!) And enjoyed the wine... selection (did I mention local wineries) very much.
