This place is great! The atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly - Thanks Haley. They know what... they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The foodis excellent (Chef Shaun), great tasting roasted chicken (stop going to that other chicken place), pricing and portion size isincredible, it’s 100% worth it! Read more
Food was fantastic! Had the whole chicken and two sides (sweet potatoes and fires). They also gave us 1 of each kind of gravy.... It was the Thursday dine-in special. My feedback would be that the specials where only listed on a sign at the door and we hadto ask the waiter about it who told us the wrong info and didn’t seem really sure about it. A specials menu would solvethis. Secondly it be nice when bring sauces to the table to let us know what each sauce is otherwise it a guessing game whichone we like. Also the waiters seem to vanish it was bit slow of a night but we had to profusely waive someone down when needed.We asked for more gravy they did not ask what one and just assumed. Read more
The food was really good, we got the ultimate chicken platter and split between four people with all the sides and an appetizer,... it was pretty filling. It came with three types of chicken, all of which were seasoned well and were juicy. The staff was alsosuper kind and made us feel so welcomed. Definitely get the cornbread!! Read more
Enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Ray’s last night! The food far exceeded our expectations and our server Vicky was the best,... very helpful and attentive. We had some apps and then the Ray’s Southern Platter to sample everything and I highly recommend, best chicken I have ever eaten but be sure to try the cornbread, biscuits and the Brussel sprouts that are all off the chartfabulous! Ray’s is on point with their southern comfort food. The Nashville chicken was crispy, juicy and delicious with just the right... amount of spice! The Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes were perfectly done! I personally was not a fan of the deviled eggs, thebonito flakes leave a very strong fishy after taste. Overall my favorite dish was the buttermilk biscuits, this is a must withany meal, so flakey and fresh. I would go to Ray’s just for the biscuits. Stopped in at Ray's tonight after the Immersive Van Gogh show at the Convention Centre. It was the perfect way to cap off the... day. We've ordered takeout but had never been inside the restaurant. It's lovely - very cool vibe. Our server (I don't know hisname / I'm sorry!!) was fantastic and his drink recommendations (a tasty beverage called Geez Louise) also fantastic. The starof the night for us was Shawn - he came out from the back (I had requested something no longer on the menu) to confirm that theycould still make it, and the food 100% did not disappoint. I had the Shrimp Po Boy, and my two companions each had the FamousRay's sandwiches. Best fried chicken in the city! The apps (Deviled Eggs and Charred Broccoli) were also incredible. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Hamilton. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always... delighted with my meal!
