I tried this place as I have heard so much about it, they have a good menu of pizza, sandwiches and dinners, the food was good... and the service was great, the atmosphere was not the best but acceptable, it lacked color and to much gray paint, but I wasthere to try their pizza anyway not for the atmosphere, the parking is not the greatest but in a downtown area I guess you haveto expect that, all said the experience was worth it and I would go back again Read more

From thin to thick meats to... veggies the toppings are fresh and savory with plenty spread around the pie. My favorite is the thin crust Sausage and Mushroom.It is a flavor that satisfies the soul when it is made right and the House of Pizza Nailed it !!! Only 2 or 3 blocks away fromthe Hammond Sports Complex, it's a perfect place for the teams to go and celebrate their wins or lessons for the day of play.Take time out to visit this well established family owned cornerstone of the community and get of taste of the HammondHospitality with servers like Brittany, that smile even when doing side work like silverware, and managers that stop what theirdoing to greet a customer request and make sure that everything is satisfactory. The bar is a nice size and the frozenstrawberry margaritas are divinely flavored with real strawberries!!!! It's a flavor to savor for sure. Our server was friendly and this was a nostalgic visit for us (it's been about 20 years since being able to eat here again). The... pizza was as good as we remembered it. Our plan was to get a large pizza and bring the rest home with us. We failed, and ate thewhole thing. It looks like it may have been updated in main areas since we last visited and it looked nice. THIS was the place to hang out for pizza during our teen years back in the 1960's and it STILL has awesome pizza to this day!

Wouldn?t deliver 8 MINUTES away. Gave the address and she asked if it was Highland. I said ?no it?s Gary? and instantly denied... me. Driver missed a fat tip and a Chicagoan addicted to pizza. Shame Venice Pizza is closed so much cause they have phenomenalpizza. Wouldn?t know how the food taste and never will. 8 minutes away. Never heard of it. Read more
