LIT Pizza is my absolute favorite personal-pan pizzeria. I used to be a regular at the Zachary location but moved to Hammond a... year and a half ago and there wasn't a Hammond location until recently. Once I found out, I had to go and see if it was as goodas when I went in Zachary. It did not disappoint. They have mastered the thickness of dough, ingredients, placement oftoppings, taste of sauces/drizzles, and time in the oven to produce an amazing crisp. I always ask mine for extra time because Iabsolutely love a nice crispy pizza. The 11" size is perfect for a personal pizza and sometimes I end up having 1-2 extraslices for leftovers. Read more
If you like mod pizza this is very similar. The owner was very nice and a fast worker. The rest of the staff pretty slow. The... crust was good. Overall good experience and hopefully if they retain staff the service improves. Read more
Pizza was great. I got the cauliflower crust veggie pizza with a drizzle of honey habanero. Friendly and helpful staff.
Extremely disappointed with this location. I am a huge fan of the Covington location so I was excited when I heard this one... would be opening. It?s honestly night and day. Covington is a well oiled machine and the Hammond one is a sinking ship thatcannot stay afloat. It took 55 minutes for me to get my pizza. Why? Because they burned 8 pizzas in a row, one of which wasmine. They then put the wrong burnt pizza on my paper and the person remade the wrong pizza for me. Finally they made the rightpizza and it just isn?t up to standards. It?s lopsided and it needs way more pepperonis. I won?t be back. This is my fifth timegiving this location a chance and they disappoint every time. Please send a training team back to this store and give them moretraining and support. Or have them shadow the Covington store. It?s a tragedy that I am going to have to drive half an hour awayto get pizza because the one in my town isn?t making them correctly. Please do better. It's a great concept for a pizza restaurant. You are able to pick the toppings for your own personal pizza. This review is... based on my own experience. I ordered a veggie pizza. Based on the recommendation of the restaurant, I ordered it the waylisted. I was a little disappointed. There was very little flavor to the finished product. The good point: pizza was quickcoming out, the staff is friendly and everything appears fresh. I will try it again, but I will try a different combination ofsauce and ingredients. Read more
Great pizza. Great prices. Can get all the toppings you want for $9. Hard to beat that deal. Was slow and a long line, but maybe... they are still working through kinks. Will definitely be back. Read more
8/16/22 11:54 AM My wife and I were returning from Virginia and decided on pizza for lunch. We had very good experiences at MOD... Pizza and thought this might be similar. The ambiance was good. The drink selection was good including Coke Zero (my favorite),though they did not yet have their alcohol license complete. I had the pizza with cauliflower crust and my wife had the regularcrust. I contacted the company and the cauliflower crust is made with cauliflower, cheese and eggs. There is no flour or nutsin it. It was very good, though I found the upcharge of $4.50 to be a little high. But guess you have to make the decision ifyour health is worth the extra cost. They have a great selection of toppings and sauces to choose from. The only downside isthat they did not have anchovies, which is by far my favorite topping. The place is starting up, I get that, but I had to keeprepeating the ingredients that I wanted on my pizza. The smart thing would be to hand the patrons a pencil and paper with alisting of the topping selections and let them check off what they want. That would eliminate the repeats. Had I not had to keeprepeating the toppings and if they had anchovies, I would have given them 5 stars. What I got was one of the best ever pizzas Ihave eaten. How can it not be? You call the shots on the toppings. Had they added anchovies, it would have been better thanMOD. But if you do not like anchovies, this place is a winner. It is very good anyway. I know I plan to return. My wife likedhers also. It is so nice not having to keep stuff I love, like olives and hot peppers, off of my pizza so I can share with mywife. Best pizza place I have been to in at least 20 plus years. Fresh ingredients everything custom made, fantastic staff. The only... thing that's missing is an app, so that you can pick all of the things you want before you get there at the counter. Read more
