By far one of the top 3 places to eat in this town. Very spacious inside, friendly staff, great value price/product, great... selection of drinks. Very tasty hot fresh delicious food. I am so glad my friend told me about this place. My life has foreverchanged. Many places claim to be hibachi in hammond, but Yama is the embodiment of hibachi. I do not like the service. I sat over 20 minutes waiting on my order that was sitting ready to come out. I can't tell anyone how... to spend their money; but this will be my first and last day coming here. The restaurant was not at all crowded, but we did go on Superbowl Sunday. We ordered the family platter of seafood, for just... under $100. The cooked seafood was covered in lots of seasoning, which "probably" should have been put in the boiling pot whenthe seafood was being prepared. As we ate, our seafood waste bucket reached the brim. No one came to give us a new one. We alsohad to acquire napkins for ourselves from another station. Being from South Louisiana, I know good seafood. This left a lot tobe desired. Very good customer service, huge portion size, and delicious flavors!

Waitr delivered my chicken Hibachi bowl and it was delicious!!! I couldn't stop eating. Less than a week later I went to the... physical location and was able to dine-in the restaurant. It was spacious and clean. Staff was polite, quick, and courteaous. Ihad another hibachi bowl with chicken and I chose the fried rice base. It is served with yum yum sauce. I asked for soy saucepackets as well. I also had the Mozzarella cheese sticks. They were fried to perfection! Cheese was hot and goey! My friendordered chicken nuggets appetizer. I did not eat any of those. The hibachi bowl is great! The vegetables are soft. The carrotsmaybe the hardest vegetable in the bowl, but you can pick and choose which vegetables go into your bowl. Plenty of chicken. Veryfilling meal. Good portion size. I will be enjoying more food from Yama! Read more
