Great food and apps
I have known Chef April for a lifetime. I always admired her for her multiple talents, and her cooking especially stood out to... me. I was always envious of how great she could make anything taste..with no recipe, just pure skill. Her restaurant is amazingand my family loves everything on the menu. It is unique and creative, just like April. Anything she touches turns to gold, andher restaurant/catering business is an example of that. Although she is only open Tuesdays as she is super booked and dedicatedto her catering part of the job, she kills it every week! The service is always on point and the food never disappoints. Some ofmy favorites are the desert tacos, filet tacos, and cheesy bites. Her catering business puts others to shame. I had her do mydaughters? birthday party this summer, and her presentation and food (both adult and kid friendly) stole the show. I woulddefinitely recommend SASS as a Taco Tuesday spot or for a catered event. It will help you have a party to remember, and the fooditself will be the main topic of the event. Last night 2/2/22 Sass kitchen catered our Wedding in Elmer. The set up was amazing and the food was excellent. Our guests... were really satisfied and raved on the taste. My favorite was the pork slider (al pastore ) done with the donut it is sweet andsavory. Everything was delicious . April catered our wedding off location and it was absolutely phenomenal! Beautiful display and amazing taste. My guest were... amazed and could not stop talking about how beautiful everything looked and how wonderful the food tasted. I can't believe I drove 40 minutes for this! Non-existant service (except for Tim, he seemed to be the only employee who cared),... out of chicken (YOU DO ONE THING--MAKE TACOS--ONE DAY A WEEK & YOU CAN'T GET THAT RIGHT?), and lackluster tacos that I makebetter at home on my worst day. My party of 3 had to clean our own table, although when we brought up the discards from theprevious diners Tim did apologize & ask if he could clean it for us. We had already been sitting there for 15-20 minutes. Foundout they were out of chicken, so ordered beef tacos and beef tacodillas with sides of chips and steak fries. Most items on themenu are listed as 'Build Your Own' and they have a topping bar of add-ons. The add-ons consisted of fresh shredded lettuce,freshly diced tomatoes, shredded cheese (that appeared to come from a bag), canned corn, onions, peppers, salsas, and almostempty sour cream bottles. I can't recommend anything, because there was nothing worth recommending. I wish I had takenpictures, because although the space was simply, but creatively decorated it was truly basic food in a truly basic space. Thechairs (which were actually stools) were uncomfortable, and you bumped into the person behind you every time you got up. The3-5 women working in the kitchen seemed to be involved with talking to each other. The one who delivered our food to our tablecracked a smile through her mask of indifference and then went back to disinterest mode. I have a feeling that they are trulythere to focus on catering--which they market very well, but I would not trust them to cater anything. April Catered our wedding and did a phenomenal job. She spoke to us often about menu options, was there on time and her... presentation was amazing. Not one complaint from the 100+ people that were there and not one thing was left. Her Kitchen locatedin Hammonton is very clean and has a very relaxed and mellow feel to it. Her staff are great and you can tell she puts her allinto what she does. She has a very creative mind when it comes to her food and everything comes out amazing. If you haven'ttried it yet you definitely should you wont be disappointed. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great Sassexperience. Read more
SASS catered my daughter's rehersal dinner in Cape May on September 30th.She showed up on time, and set up the most beautiful... display. The food was amazing! I can't tell you how many compliments we had on the display and the uniqueness of it. She cameback the next day on time to pick up her things.I would 100 percent reccomend SASS. Read more
