My Mom and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday. We came early (about 7:40AM) because the place can get busy abound 8AM to... 10AM. If you arrive after 8AM, there's a small waiting period of about 5-10 minutes, sometimes up to 15 minutes at peakhours. After we had sat down at the counter, we were greeted promptly by the server. She took our drink order, and had that outfast. The overall experience was great. The food was superb. I had the vegetarian omelet, an English muffin with homemade mixedberry jam, black tea, and homefries. I really liked the tender-crisp vegtables in the omelet, and the homefries were cookedwell. The homemade jam was superb. The server was attentive, as I could get her attention if I needed something. The prices arelower then some breakfast places, I highly recommend this place if you want to support small business, andor like going out tobreakfast. Read more

Excellent eatery but with some restrictions. The dining area is small and a little crowded. The cafe is quite busy so if you... are set on eating here, prepare for a wait as it is extremely popular with the locals. Food is prepared well and creative. Thewait staff does a great job and are very pleasant. Read more

I'm from north carolina and was in town on work. I fell in love with this place immediately. The food is AMAZING and the family... is just absolutely adorable! Those meals were both the best meals I'd had in a long time being out on the road. Closest thing toa home cooked meal i could have asked for. Biscuits like REAL biscuits ???? Read more

The best doughnuts since my grams. The folks working there are very social and pleasant. Even the owner was there making muffins... and packaged up my to go order. I'll be back as often as I can. My husband and I just love this place. Read more

My husband and I were visiting from Oregon. The biscuits and gravy took me back to my childhood, and my dad?s home cooking.... Everything was delicious, and we had great service. I would definitely come back here, and recommend to others looking for somedelicious home cooked food. Read more

It cost me 40$ for eggs Benedict w hash & an omelet w side of gravy. The hash is out of a can! The hollandaise sauce was... flavorless! The omelet was burned and they added green peppers which weren?t on the menu item! The gravy is strange?. Too muchsage, perhaps! The restaurant itself is very dirty and smells like musty mildew. Extremely dissatisfied doesn?t come close! Theprices are absurd for the quality of food! Read more

Cute little breakfast and lunch diner in Hampden. Super clean, very comfortable, small-town overall feel to it. Brought my small... kiddos here on a Mommy and Me date and we liked it a lot. I?m from the south and I?ve been missing some southern soul food. While the biscuits and gravy were average (still yummy, but definitely not anywhere close to a good ?ol southern stylebuttermilk biscuit-sorry!), they did have the BEST pancakes!!! Folks, we?re talkin? better than Dennys, and even better thanIHOP, even though the overall flavor reminds me of IHOP exactly with the butteriness lol The prices are fantastic, you cannotbeat them!!! And my gosh, we received the friendliest service from the ENTIRE diner staff. Seriously, if you find yourself inHampden and hungry or you feel a little soul-sapped, come in here and they will take care of you! Read more
