First time as my wife and I have been wanting to try this place. We sat in a booth and upon sitting immediately noticed about 3... to 5 dead house flies in the windowsill next to us, not a great start. The bread service was delicious with fresh oil and garlicwhich was the highlight of the meal. Our fried mozzarella was overcooked and very oily. Our entree's were not much better withthe pene a la vodka lacking flavor and the pazzo Alfredo undercooked and the Alfredo sauce split. One of my favorite spots?this time it killed my vibe but I?ll still return. The server was less than experienced and asked/did... things I was not entirely fond of. Dropping the check and asking if she can take our card when we haven?t even looked at it?Being denied a booth by the host when we walked in at 430 when no one else was there. Being told it was breaded chicken on thepizza and it was grilled?also it was 5-8 mins of my food already delivered. Informing us she wants it to be busy so she can makesome money ! (Wahoo, but never came around to check in and forgot my kiddos Milk). Lastly, being partially accused of dining andditching since she walked up to us as we are leaving asking about paying our bill and didn?t see the money. We left cash. I getit, that?s the worst thing anyone could ever do but really. To say that. I had to ask if she asked everyone and my partner hadto bring up that the cameras are in sight and they should check. She just stood there looking at us and made me souncomfortable. Told her I?d wait until she found it and she should ask her coworkers. Came back and said ?oh she didn?t tell meshe grabbed it?. How excessive and uncomfortable to be in that position while the room filled up and people heard. I love thisplace, the food, always loved the service. Good Italian restaurant in Hampden. Went there for dinner on a Saturday evening and it was crowded and that was a good news as... it is a sign good food. We were not disappointed with the food and service, though slow since all tables were occupied. Weordered some minestrone soup, mussels, egg plant dish and steak. All were good. Casa Bella always has good food! We went for New Year's Eve dinner and weren't disappointed again. Service was quick, polite,... and attentive as always and they had a great duo singing and playing guitar. My only concern is that I ordered one of theseasonal drinks, a Snickerdoodle. It was very good, but was in a pretty small tumbler with a lot of ice. Thought it would be ina bigger glass for $9. Left me wanting more, but not at that price. Read more
